This is my rather abstract and far fetched cover of Elegia, a tribute by New Order to the predecessor of lead singer Bernard Sumner, Ian Curtis.

Featured on the band's third studio album, Low-Life, Elegia is, as the name suggests, an elegy to the late Curtis, who tragically took his own life at the tender age of 23 in 1980.

There is more to be done with the song, and when time permits I will be coming back to it. Please don't comment telling me "it sounds nothing like New Order" or any harsh words. Constructive critisism is welcome, but I think we should focus on taking the next 9 minutes to remember what a fantastic man Ian was, and how much he contributed to music.

Trauma Bond

The phrase that you could say started Abuse Disorder. Despite starting the Abuse Disorder project over a year and a half after, this very phrase is probably the words that give me the biggest cold shiver when I think about why I do this.

The message you see on the artwork is from a screenshot of a conversation with the guilty party. The music psychoacoustically allows me to grieve our relationship, whilst remaining eternally stuck between the split of love & forgiveness and bitterness & hate. 

Eno once said "Ambient music is intended to induce calm and a space to think."
