Gelka & Subsets Unveil "Verity" – A Cinematic and Uplifting Chillout Journey

After years of remixing each other’s work, Gelka and Subsets join forces for the first time on an original track, "Verity." Despite being miles apart—Gelka in Hungary and Subsets in the UK—the two artists seamlessly crafted this collaborative piece, blending their signature sounds into a deeply emotive composition.

"Verity" is a dynamic yet delicate track, evolving from an atmospheric ambient opening into a richly textured, uplifting finale. While the percussion is subtle, the music itself carries an undeniable energy, driven by immersive synth melodies and neoclassical elements. The result is a powerful yet introspective chillout piece that bridges the gap between ambient, electronic, and cinematic soundscapes.

With a history of collaborations—including Subsets' stunning remix of Gelka’s track with UK singer Sam Brookes (known for his work with Phaeleh and Basement Jaxx)—this new single showcases their ability to create deeply moving music across distances.

"Verity" is part of Gelka’s upcoming album, Human Moment, set for release later this year!


About Gelka:
 Hungarian artist Gelka has been crafting emotive downtempo and chillout music for over two decades. Known for blending ambient, electronica, and neoclassical elements, Gelka has been a Café del Mar staple since 2003, with over 20 compilation appearances and three official Café del Mar albums.

His music has been released on iconic labels like Warp, Om Records, Ministry of Sound, and Stereo Deluxe, with collaborations including Forteba, Synkro, Beth Hirsch, Salt of The Sound, and Sam Brookes. Gelka's work has received support from BBC Radio 1, Ibiza Sonica Radio, and has amassed over 100 million streams across digital platforms.
