I wrote this song back in 1982. The melody has stayed with me through the decades. The fact that AI has a microphone is wonderful. The input that an artist has is endless. Now I know that I can preserve these tunes for myself to enjoy. I hope you do too.

Lift me from the water. I love the picture of Jesus on top of the water with his hand going down and in the water to save a person that is drowning I love that picture because it’s so me 
There are times where I feel like I’m drowning, and the only saving grace is my belief in Jesus Christ/God/Jehovah/Buddha/Creator whatever you wanna call Him. 
I started the song on April 6, 2025 finished the song April 12, 2025. 
I had no idea I was gonna record this but I wanted it to be something you can tap your toes to or clap your hands to. No one can do that to me but a person of color. When it comes to gospel music hands-down you need a person of color to do this. 
I was very fortunate to get that. I am astounded and amazed at the outcome. 
Truly is one of those things that just happen and you don’t know How or what it did. 
 I hope you enjoy it, and clap your hands, tap your feet and have fun with it.

A Heartache I Can’t Control

I started writing this song in 1992. The song is called “And I Wait”. I had the first two lines of the song and the chorus was (and I wait). I had no clue what the song was about. But I had the words and the riff of those few lines.
This was driving me crazy this morning. I surrendered everything and asked Holy Spirit for a message. If there were something to say with the words that I had written. This song is based on the woman who committed adultery: The story is in John chapter 8 versus 3-11.

I educate myself on every single song I write. It’s always been that way. I have to know what I’m talking about which is hysterical because I’m from a family. That’s full of stand-up philosophers. BS artists.  I always wondered what it was like in that ambience of space. The beautiful stars, the beautiful, blues, pinks, blacks. It’s simply inspiring. Then I found a really catchy word Kilonova. The temperatures are so hot. They are in the trillions. There is such a unique energy that scientists have not been able to duplicate that energy, harness it to study this in a lab. A Kilonova simply put is a star on a collision course with a black hole. When this happens when they meet, there is such a blast that it leaves an afterglow that remains for years. It’s really remarkable. I hope you enjoy this song. I had absolutely no plans on writing it.

I wrote this back in 1980. I had a huge crush on Loni Anderson. I started watching WKRP in Cincinnati in 1978 and I was hooked! One of the first songs that I wrote was “What A Life” (You Live). I was 12 or 13 years old, I remember writing it in school and singing it with my friend down the hallway of our school. I remember constantly singing that song because I also wrote the melody. I just sang as I wrote it. It’s one of those things that God gives to you and you don’t even realize it’s a true gift. I didn’t realize back then but being very close to 60 years old and still remembering the melody, this must’ve been a pretty good song. I still like this one, and losing Loni Anderson yesterday hit hard for me. I never got to meet her. I did write three songs about her when I was younger. “I just wanna hold your hand”, it was a dream where me and Loni Anderson were on the beach just holding hands. When everybody else wanted the killer body she had , this kid just wanted to hold her hand. “Heaven” what another song that I wrote back then about Loni Anderson. Wow! That was some 47 years ago! I’m gonna stop talking before I faint. My does time go by so fast.

In the style of Springsteen a singer I knew she loved, I decided to write a song for Mindy. The stack of paper is daunting. Certain words were allowed in, certain words were not! I started again at least 3 to 4 times. "Sit on the side of my bed and talk to me".....All I could think of was I LOVE YOU. NO. There's more....Talk to me....So I did. God Rest You Mindel. I wrote this tune 32 years ago. I also play the music on a synthesized piano. A little bit of trivia,  "claps" at the end of the last chorus were done live in the studio because those tracks were mistakenly erased. The first and only double vocal done (Thank You Leslie Gore!) -Brian Anthony. ****There is a slower dance mix out there somewhere, I've yet to find it****
