Christopher Sachs is a wine and spirits professional based in Central New Jersey. He was classically trained in Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America where he took a short course in the study of wine. That’s where his love of food and wine really blossomed. Shortly after graduation, he worked in several restaurants before continuing to study wine with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) at the International Wine Center in NYC and has since completed the Advanced Course in Wines and Spirits, as well as the Diploma of Wines and Spirits. In April 2022, he traveled to Verona to partake in the VinItaly International Academy and passed the exam to become an Italian Wine Ambassador. He currently works as a Sales Representative with Skurnik Wines and Spirits in the NJ/NY area and consults with various retail and restaurant partners on a daily basis. On top of his professional wine career, he also is the owner of Travel By Wine, an education and consultancy center for all things beverage! Christopher finds joy in exploring the world by way of wine, spirits, sake, and cider and sharing his 'travels' with everyone.

Isabella Pelizzatti Perego, together with her two brothers, Guido and Emanuele, are the 5th generation of Arpepe. 
She was born February 4th 1970 in Sondrio. She graduated with a degree in Food Science and Technology Degree in Università degli Studi di Milano, (including a 3 months Erasmus Project in University College Cork, Ireland). Then after, she took her Master’s degree in Oenology in Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza Piacenza. Prior to her involvement to Arpepe, she worked as a New Product and Packaging Development Dept. in United Distillers & Vintners (DIAGEO) in S.Vittoria d'Alba, CN). From December 2001 until today, she works with family at ARPEPE in Valtellina (following mostly export, marketing, promotion and hospitality).

“We produce Barolo but not only, because we love all the wines of our land. We believe in beauty, in work done well, in attention to detail, in creativity that respects tradition. We are a family and artisan company. We are accompanied by a young team, enthusiastic and passionate as we are. We directly follow the work of our vineyards, because it is the basis of uncompromising quality, but above all because we like it so much. Our wines are born elegant, complex, delicate. They have the identity and personality that we would like to find in every glass on our table." These are the words with which the Vajra company presents itself: a true undisputed point of reference in the Langhe lands, that is, a winery that has always been linked to the traditions and territory it belongs to, capable over time of establishing itself with products which have reached absolute qualitative levels.
Vajra is one of the historical names of the Piedmontese Langhe, a company that has extended over a vineyard area covering a total of fifty hectares since 1972. Located in the municipality of Barolo, the winery produces strongly territorial wines, starting from all the most typical vineyard varieties of the area.
A family-run company, where two generations work side by side, creating a combination of dynamism and loyalty towards the most ancient local traditions, to which is added particular attention to the most modern technical and scientific innovations that progress is capable of at the moment to offer: mass selections, treatments done with the utmost respect for the territory and nature using synthetic products only where strictly necessary. During the harvest phase, and also subsequently, rigorous selections of the grapes are carried out, to achieve the maximum result in each bottle in terms of fidelity to the vine and the Langhe terroir. Simply excellent wines, those I labeled "Vajra", capable of expressing the best enological essence of the Piedmontese lands like few others.

Paolo and Noemia d’Amico have pursued their passion in wine and have created an award winning portfolio of 8 organic labels grown and produced in Umbria. Mainly using French grape varieties, the volcanic soil from the Calanchi Valley adds a new take on established variants. Once produced, the wines are stored to the sound of classical music in the cellar created by Noemia d’Amico and world renowned architect Luca Brasini. Made from tufo rocks, the cellar carves its way underneath the hanging garden, via magnificent structural arches that create an enchanting pathway to the library, adjoining a special room where tasting takes place amongst vintages from 30 years of Paolo e Noemia d’Amico wines.

The Tenuta di Fessina project was born in 2007, when after a series of trips aimed at studying and discovering the Etna terroir, Silvia Maestrelli, late Tuscan producer and pioneer on the volcano, decided to stop in Rovittello, on the northern side, where today the beating heart of Fessina resides. Here she was captivated by the uniqueness of the place, the very particular position of the soil, gathered between two volcanic slopes dating back to 1809 and 1911. From here it all begins, first in the North, precisely in 2007, then to the South West, one of the bets initials made in 2009, and finally to the East, in the municipality of Milo, starting from 2012. The philosophy of TDF project, is to collect and vinify different snapshots, all taken from different sides and only in historical reference areas. Jacopo Maniaci takes place at the winery in 2014 as winery director and in 2021 as CEO, he graduated Economics and communication at UNI of Messina, Sicily, and took a Master Degree at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Cuneo. His family is in restaurants and breeding in the mountains of Nebrodi, but he lives at the winery since 2017, taking care of the whole TF project. Fessina in particular rests on an alluvial residual, pyroclastic, a sandy and fine deposit, made of volcanic sand and pumice, dating back between 5,000 and 15,000 years old, draining and capable of guarantee elegance and verticality. Today the winery sells in 20 countries, with average 80.000 bottles of DOC Etna wines.

Born in Mexico, with a mother from Hawaii via Korea and an anthropologist father from New York via Paris, he was weaned on exotic and delicious foods. Marc and his photographer wife Kim are the authors of 14 books including a pioneering series of illustrated wine-food-travel books: The Wine Roads of Europe, The Wine Roads of France, The Wine Roads of Italy (Premio Barbi Colombini), and The Wine Roads of Spain. Other titles include The Wine and Food of Europe, The Food Lovers’ Companion Italy, The Food Lovers’ Companion France, Wine, a global history. Marc regularly lectures and hosts gastronomic cultural tours to Italy and France with Martin Randall Travel, the UK’s leading cultural travel specialist. He is soon to begin a regular series on Italian Wine Podcast, ‘Wine, food and travel with Marc Millon’. When not on the road Marc lives on the River Exe in Devon, England

With a career in hospitality spanning 20 years, Chris took his first restaurant job while attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. His passion and curiosity for wine led him to apply for and receive a coveted wine internship at The French Laundry. He moved to San Francisco to work as a Sommelier at Spruce and from there went on to be the Wine Director at Restaurant Gary Danko. After stints at Sociale, Michael Mina and Octavia, Chris got the opportunity in 2018 to open Ungrafted with his wife, Master Sommelier Rebecca Fineman. In May of 2023 they also opened their wine bar, GluGlu, at Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. He is director of wine education and brand ambassador at the Brown Estate in Napa Valley.

Jessica Dupuy covers wine, spirits, and travel from Austin, Texas. She holds a Diploma with the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust, is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and a Certified Specialist of Wine and Spirits through the Society of Wine Educators. Dupuy’s work has appeared in Food & Wine, Wine Enthusiast, Imbibe, Texas Monthly, Forbes, SevenFifty Daily, GuildSomm, VinePair, and Southern Living. She recently published, The Wines of Southwest USA in addition to six regional cookbooks. Her forthcoming book, Italianity, with co-author Andrea Lonardi MW explores and celebrates the culture of Italian wine. (Release Spring 2026). She also co-hosts podcast, Another Bottle Down.
