What a year for Lake People so far. Apart from several excellent releases and remixes, like his outstanding interpretation for Chymera's classic “Caprica Burning”, the Leipzig-based act is busy playing gigs around the globe. Earlier this year, he had his first South-America tour, North America is following this summer. His low-key and touching live-performances obviously work excellently. 

We are now more than happy to present the next Lake People EP. Four tracks, no remixes and each of them a pearl on its own. 

“Into” goes a bit in the direction of his hit “Point In Time” On Krakatau, while “Stepwise” and “Come Over Later” reminds of the timeless electronic approach of Acid Jesus or Soylent Green releases on Klang Elektonik. The soundscapish “Trace Missed Call” rounds up the release perfectly.

The second part of the Ki Split Series is a feature of our homegrown talents Christian Loeffler and Steffen
Kirchhoff. The two friends are part of the Ki family since the beginning (Loeffler was responsible for the first
release on Ki and Kirchhoff for the third).
Both artist have a close connection in sound aesthetics and atmosphere, since they still inspire each other
every day. „The first people to listen to my unfinished tracks are my girlfriend, family and Christian Loeffler“
says Steffen Kirchhoff about his process of making music. They are also both artists throughout: Christian
manages to have different art projects running from music to painting and Steffen is also a very talented
photographer. But what impressed the international audience lately were their live-sets, which they already
performed all over Germany and Europe.
In this release everything comes together what these two exceptional talents learned on their journey so far.
A remarkable aspect is the use of samples, which both seem to have discovered as a new passion in their
process of making music. On the Ki Split Series 2 you can listen to Christian Loeffler and Steffen Kirchhoff
experimenting with beautiful samples and underlining the whole piece with their unique sound structure.
Both in their respective very own romantic approach to deep, melancholic techno music.

Munich-based producer duo 959er & F.I.E.L.D.Y present to you an unique piece of music named „Bread“ alongside a stellar remix by trailblazer Acid Pauli who needs no detailed introduction! The original starts spooky and slowly begins to show its true colors further on when the main chords set in and turn the track into a real ear worm. For us the original was hard to top but Acid Pauli worked his magic on the synths and backed them with a varying saw bass which will work perfectly on all of this planets dancefloors. We are very proud of this outstanding release and hope that you also feel the special atmosphere it creates as much as we do!

Alessandro Diga, a young talented dutch artist, delivers 3 solid techno tracks for the fifth release on the BergWacht record label. “Phaedra” starts with a great bassline and goes into a warm melodic techno track with a lot of emotions, dreamy synths and it goes along with a clear hihat. The track is able to be dreamy and not cheesy at the same time. “Sonora” is grounded on a rolling bassline and clear hi-hats as well, it goes over in nice effects with outstanding breaks, but it finds back to the starting rhythms. “Dahlia” the hidden B-2 track transmits a deep journey with melancholic feelings.

Alessandro Diga - Dahlia

Ki Records is proud to announce its very first release with a great donation by germany’s Christian Löffler, who is running strong with two digital EPs in the last six months on Pawel and Turner’s Orphanear Records. Christian Löffler is at his best in this latest release, easily spanning the range from deep house to techno by keeping a harmonic sound structure over all four tracks. The EP has already received positive feedback by the Smallville and Kompakt record stores and DJs and producers like Michael Mayer, Pawel and Tobias Thomas.

‘Heights’ has been released on limited vinyl (500 copies WW) as well as a digital four track EP. The vinyl comes in a hardcover sleeve featuring Christian Löffler’s own artwork.
