He runs the Macadam Mambo Label out of Lyon with releases by Eva Geist, Abschaum, Eiger Drums Propaganda, Zmatsutsi, Jin Cromanyon, Houschyar, and himself under numerous aliases. As a DJ, he is one of those special DJs/selectors that manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together. He curates his long-standing show at Lyl Radio as well as Macadam Mambo shows on Kiosk Radio. Lock in for an extended selection that journeys through hypnotic and cosmic rhythms, mystical percussions, and pulsating electronics.

We discovered ''Le Chocolat Noir'' @yasssa some years ago when we had the pleasure to play his track ''Reason'' at first that track reminds us a lot of the 80's and we knew we had to perform some of his music on Italo Moderni. 
His vocal talent and his synthesizers focused on detuned with that mystical and underground touch, is the reason why he will be on the new Italo Moderni compilation, Modernation Vol.4, which will be released next August on Vinyl, Cassette and digital. 
We are very proud to have his talent and his passion for electronic music. Long life Yasmin!

Le Chocolat Noir bio:

LE CHOCOLAT NOIR aka LCN, un chevalier noir with releases on She Lost Kontrol, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, Gooiland Elektro, Frigio, Kraftjerkz, Charlois and many more, is a model unrepresentative aiming for his utopian dream(s) since year 2000.

Jasmin Yas is a member of bRAVE collective from Zagreb and is a resident DJ of Ljubljana's Elektroliza series of events, with previous residency at Zagreb's Queer Festival. He is also releasing under alias Honored Matres, is a member of Florence Foster Fan Club with Zarkoff and is also producing/releasing music in the prolific collab with Christian Kroupa since 2021. For nearly ten years Jasmin Yas has been selecting and playing a wide range of music in his radio show Disco Panonia on The Hague based Internet radio Intergalactic FM.

Ambassade's 2019 'Duistre Kamers' album was a huge favourite here at Optimo Music towers so we jumped at the chance to release the follow up; 'The Fool'.

Following hot in the heels of the acclaimed 'Young Birds / Palette' 12" on Optimo Music, 'The Fool' is destined to be another Cold Wave, Synth, New Industrial, Experimental ...whatever you want to call it ...classic. We asked Ambassade to tell us a bit about the album - 


Born from several years of research and contemplation on the human mind ‘The Fool’ can be understood as a reflection to the dark energies - natural, political, human and otherwise - that are released when it comes to religion, greed and power.

Historically, some rulers have used religion to legitimise their power. We were also inspired by wanting to examine what negative impact religion can have from the fact that it’s always dominated by men.

This was pursued by exploring a wide range of diverse and unusual types of instruments that took on a new approach of tonal expression, with the use of detuned choral and voice samples, droned tape loops and DIY metal and found percussion. It’s from these diverse sources that the process of creativity keeps persistently mutating. This process was focused through the enigmatic electronic and percussion composition from the band which alternates between foreground and background for the haunting vocal performances.

Berlin Based Australian producer Kris Baha isn't to introduce anymore.
Where once he was resident behind the decks at Power Station, a weekly EBM and industrial night in Melbourne, Baha is now a regular fixture at celebrated Berlin institutions CockTail D’Amore and Sameheads.
When not channeling the musical spirits to inspire dancers, Baha can be found lurking in the shadows of his secretive studio space. There, he performs mixing, mastering and remix duties for the likes of Die Wilde Jagd, Novo Line, The TWINS, Khidija, Eva Geist, Boys Noize, Bell Towers, Joakim and Red Axes. There has also been a noted collaboration with fellow Aussie outcast Dreems as Die Orangen, with the two joining forces for a series of thrillingly wayward “krautback” releases on Multi-Culti.

Yet it’s his own skewed, mutant dancefloor productions for which Baha is undoubtedly best known. Inhibiting their own sound space between industrial, EBM, minimal wave, early ‘90s IDM and krautrock, Baha’s releases have so far featured on such record labels as Bahnsteig 23, Pinkman, CockTail D’Amore Music, She Lost Kontrol and Power Station, the imprint he initiated back in 2015. We can expect more in the months and years ahead, including a debut album that distills his distinctive musical vision into palatable, marketable chunks. That is assuming, of course, that Baha would ever want to sugar coat his delightfully druggy, dystopian and energetic artistic ethos.
