From his studio at the (infamous) berliner club "Sameheads" , Franz Scala has been building with years a great reputation on the contemporary "Italo-Dance-scene", being the mind behind 2 essential labels as "Slow Motion" and "Wrong Era". Artists like "Fabrizio Mammarella", "Francisco" or "Rodion", to name a few, have been rising as a part of the Italian family that Scala has created with "Slow Motion".

Imprints as "Bordello A Parigi", "Tusk Wax", "Bahnsteig 23" or "MM Discos" have had the pleasure of hosting the Italian maestro, signing there remarkable records. Italian dance highly influenced by new wave, obscure synths and a little balearic touch.

We are very happy to have Franz for the 4th episode of our monthly "MM Casts", doing what he knows best, and inviting us to a space oddity thru wave, synth pop and of course...italo disco baby ;)

Another sonic experiment for your listening curiosity, Ab Und Zu drifts the liminal void between brain stimulating atmospherics and club-centric resonance. Take a kaleidoscopic trip through the off-kilter, composite sounds of London-born label newcomer Midnight Manoeuvres.

Titular track Ab Und Zu combines metallic SFX, gyrating melodies and some choice vocal cuts in a psych-tinged techno merger, while Moored strips the tempo back to chuggier pastures reminiscent of early tinkerings in trip hop and breakbeat. Then rounding out the original set, Spincycle brings a darkly satisfying arrangement of aqueous textures and hardened drones - the Autechre-esque flourish to your tumble down the rabbit hole.

Stepping through on the re-fix, Control Freak’s Customer Service offers an accelerated, dubbed out and glitched up interpretation of Ab Und Zu, complete with arpeggios and wobbles dialled up to max.

The final track of the EP - and a Bandcamp exclusive - reimagines Brownstone’s iconic R&B anthem If You Love Me, introducing jaunty drum work and weighted bass to the track's soulful, heartfelt lyrics; a move inspired by the genre-bending label and club night Autonomic, founded by dBridge and Instra:mental.

"Endless Sunday" results from the collaboration of Nomenklatür and vocalist ODGE, which follows their acclaimed EP "When the Winds Blows", released on Clivage Music in October 2022.
The track embarks us on a journey from Monday to the Endless Sunday, a story told by ODGE and paced by the beats and basslines that the French duo Nomenklatür are known for.

The EP "Endless Sunday" also features the dark electro tune "Explain to Me", a track as enigmatic as the blend of EBM, techno and electro-pop that the 2005-established duo Nomenklatür are able to produce.

Remixes by Krasnodar-based artist Volta Cab, aka Rambal Cochet complete the 4-track EP, out on the 18th of November.

London producer Alex Virgo makes his debut on Nocturne, continuing the success of a string of releases on labels including Aeon, Love Attack and Shall Not Fade sister label, Lost Palms.

Inspired in no small part by his recent extended set at clubbing institution, fabric, Lightspeed EP showcases the various sides of Alex' studio output. Out 18th November, the three-tracker explores acid-led neon adventures on ‘Fantasy’ and channels Cowley-esque synth sleaze on ‘Harry's Freaking Out’, before closing out with Ed Banger influenced ‘Lightspeed’.

Straight from the depths of the Italian scene, A-Tweed and Oltrefuturo have materialized Morphism, a collaboration that makes its place as the fifteenth release under Fauna Reve’s main collection. Both artists have paved their way through some international electronic music labels such as Duro Label, Veneno, I Low You and Logical Records, with them also recently working together in the track “Neptune Lullaby” for whypeopledance’s compilation 'WhyPeopleWar - Fundraiser for Ukraine vol.1 & vol.2'.

A journey through some of electronic’s most intriguing passages and endeavors, full of hypnotizing cosmic paraphernalia, Morphism lifts off with “Axis Tilt Winter”, an opener track which perfectly settles the album’s whole atmosphere: dark, mysterious rhythms meeting with synthesizers of a glowing, metallic shine. “Beta Morphism” carves deep into the mind with its powerful percussions and sharp edge synths, while “Taipanic Bite” makes its way with a glowing and scheming exploration of depth and bass.

The trip nears the end with the powerful, percussion-driven “Treeball Alpaka”, a track that sculpts a tight passageway of metallic, futuristic sounds and haunting voices with a sense of menace, and finally settles down with an upbeat, lively remix of this last track, like the enactment of a last-minute escape at the speed of light, out of the mind and hands of Coast2Mago, one of Mexican DJ Theus Mago’s many monikers now with modular producer, coast2c.

Morphism, a work of A-Tweed & Oltrefuturo, and Fauna Reve’s newest release, is a piece that takes glowing movements out of the darkest corners of the night, and won’t pass undetected by connoisseurs of these phenomena. It will be available and ready to add to your collection starting December 9.

The interesting Italian imprint Nubians of Plutonia proudly unveils "Proton Waves," a vibrant and cohesive VA that beautifully encapsulates the label's foundational sound. This eleven-track collection serves as a compelling survey of the current Indie Dance/Nu Disco landscape, bringing together a diverse and talented roster. On board: Astore, CSK (SXDNS088), Lucas Novaes, O.P.S., Samuele De Santis, Neurotiker, TDWS, and Pleasure Seeker, the label's own guiding force, just to name a few. Together, they form a collective of modern architects, each contributing a unique piece to a brilliantly cohesive puzzle, showcasing the creative ferment currently animating the scene and setting a compelling stage for the depths that follow.

Among these contributors, Rio de Janeiro-based Neurotiker stands as a particularly notable presence, an artist whose reputation for crafting vital dance-floor material is well-earned through a series of distinguished and well-received appearances on imprints such as Emerald & Doreen, Ritmo Fatale, Club Mackan, Dogmatraxxx, and Dischi Autunno. His contribution, the masterfully titled “Tottori Sakyu,” is a peak-time tour de force. The name, referencing Japan's vast coastal sand dunes, provides a perfect conceptual anchor for the track's expansive and shifting architecture. It constructs a mesmerising soundscape from deep, undulating synth layers that ripple with atmospheric pressure, while frenzied arpeggios spiral upwards through the mix. A discreet but driving percussive framework and enigmatic, speech-like vocals weave throughout the arrangement, creating a driving, textured journey designed to command the heart of the night with its relentless and hypnotic energy.
