Imagining her songs as  a horror or sci-fi movie soundtrack . Claudia keeped eternal disco influences. Her sound is nostalgic, dark but bright. "Like a Quasar thousands of light years away".

After his well-received “Ingrediente Secreto” EP on Me Gusta Records, Brazilian producer Seed Selector scores another hot release, this time on Sabiá, a rising – and shining – electronic music label based in the beautiful city of Natal, in the northeast of Brazil. In “Papel”, Seed, in partnership with young producer Art Popper, widely explores his House Music influences and brings to life two insightful versions of the title track: the introspective Into Mix and the bouncing Original Mix. On the remix duties, Petty Touches and Felipe Reis brought the game to their own realms and came up with two spot-on interpretations.

Premiered here, the original is a sharp dance-floor filler. If not a peak-time banger – not every track needs to be one –, “Papel” is definitely a must-have for the fans of high-quality Deep House out there. Its crushable bassline, atmospheric synth lead, and punctual vocal hook deliver an upbeat and mesmerising cut with a smooth acid gait.

In sum: The result of the first collaboration between the Paulista artists has undoubtedly left a “gostinho de quero mais” in the air. Kudos!

Today we premiering a opening track from Glasgow based Marshall Brill's aka Vital Spark forthcoming E.P. - 'Curriculum Vital'  due for release on the 16th of December. Vital Spark is a new musical project of Marshall, and this is the first release. Previously music released by the talented scotish producer (under hes own name) has been released on labels West End Communications and The Exquisite Pain (and premiered on our own page back in 2016 - Track called 'January' as well as the free download 110), and featured on a Huntleys & Palmers Clydebuilt compilation. His tracks have also been played at Sonar Barcelona by Ralph Lawson and on BBC Radio 1 by Ivan Smagghe.

Twoonky, the brothers duo from Brescia (Italy) formed by Michele and Simone Bornati, is back on Macadam Mambo for a second album. After their brillantissimo ‘Dezzo’ from 2019, which was well noticed by the underground scene, the new opus ‘Ottico’ won’t leave you static. This is the kind of masterpiece that the more you listen, the more you love. At the opposite of grandiloquent music that would have immediate effect, ‘Ottico’ is much more subtile, surfing on a cool wave of styles, a collage of vibes going from 70’s Kraut to 90’s Trip-Hop, where the analog sounds of guitars, synths, distorded voices, saxo, samples and electronics FX match so well, creating an ensemble in the unique mutant flow of the Twoonky’s that makes it so intemporal and so modern in the meanwile. Vintage synth fetishist and genuine circuit-bending whiz, Italo Brutalo is no typical dealer of hardware-squeezed juice. Tapping in the endless potentialities of his analogue army of retro machinery, the German producer has built a sound ID that defies conventions and takes pride in trespassing all the frontiers and limitations associated to the etiolated map of dance music styles.
From EBM-laced rhythms to jagged techno motifs, via off-pistes divagations into electro, disco, hip-hop and kosmische spaces, Italo Brutalo writes a story of genre-busting, all-embracing love for the primordial groove. Having first dabbled into production through the studio equipment of his father, young Fries quickly caught the virus of music-making and its idiosyncratic logic, using all the means within his reach to turn his ideas into actual pieces of sound. With over 25 years of fiddling, tweaking, bastardising bars of automated fire so people can have a blast on the dance floor, Italo Brutalo has gained a potent reputation amongst jockeys and producers, recently making it to the cover of Das Synthesizer Magazine.

Following up to a string of releases on a wide array of imprints including Mozzarella Records, Days of Being Wild, Compuphonic, RFR or Nang Records, Fries moved onto self-releasing his output through Bungalo Disco, the label he co-operates alongside his girlfriend. After the first three vinyl releases went sold-out within a couple of weeks, Italo Brutalo now returns with his anticipated debut long-player, "Heartware", which - as its title suggests, makes for a compelling ode to the machines that got him into the eerie world of sine waves and tape loops. Beautifully wrapped in a gatefold, and adorned with the exquisite artwork of his creative partner to go full-circle. What else?
