Amarcord Dj Set At Badaboum, Paris for Ritmo Fatale Showcase 04\02\23

Today it’s with a massive pleasure that I'm welcoming Radondo on Italo heat and trust me, #13 isn't a sign of back luck there. Through a continuous strong bassline, this mix will make you travel between different sonorities of Italo and dark disco inspirations. Based in Berlin, where he moved from the UK, he was just a few weeks ago visiting HOR again to share a strong and progressive set like he does very well. Being quite a productive artist, you can find him crafting very solid tracks when he is not playing DJ sets around the German capital. Paying visits to Sisiphos or also the big house of Renate, last year. He released his projects “Dystopia” in 2019 on @fucanglong_files and “Dante” in 2022 on @loosefitrecords (including remixes from Franz scala & Jex Opolis). You can also find him on @ritmofatale (Fatale recall 6 which is an edit of “Mon coeur qui craque”) and a feature on “Sailors of wrong era vol.1” with Slow motion records. I’m not gonna lie, just writing all of this down made me question my own productivity… ;) Thanks so much for sharing your universe !

Sometimes we may forget, because it almost vanished as quickly as it came, but we spent a lot of time in doubt and uncertainty during the hard times of lockdown. This is when the French duo Neowise decide to isolate themselves in the countryside and focus on music, leading to the birth of their first EP on Nein records in 2021. This first release crystallized their desire to reconcile the 80’s music with the underground techno of the present day. Since then they have been quite active both in producing; with releases on @ullarecords @quixoticalrecords or  @midnight_people. Within Neowise’s style you will find influences from rock music, or SF movies soundtracks, to create a unique melting pot. For this 14th set of the Italo Heat series they cooked us a a smooth and shiny set with a touch of darkness, perfect for a friday that will lead to a friday night… Thanks so much for sharing ! Not only she is a great DJ navigating between dark disco, steroid-pumped Italo & spacey EBM, but she is also very active in the scene making sure everyone gets their spot in the sunshine. Just a few weeks ago she was part of opening the festival season at @printempsdb and tomorrow you can find her at @made.festival in Rennes (check her upcoming gigs on her last post!). Berlin-based Curses brings a romantic edge to the dance floor, blending 80's New Wave, the darker side of Italo-Disco and flashes of EBM with his own ghostly vocals.

The debut album from Curses, 'Romantic Fiction' dropped on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno imprint in October 2018, launching his live act which brings the guitars, vocals and energy of the album to stage as a duo.
 Whether it's DJng in the main room at Circoloco DC-10, or performing live at festivals like, Nuits Sonores, Curses brings punk and new wave energy to all dance floors of any size.

Curses has also released on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi, Oráculo Records, and Wrong Era, and curated a double- LP vinyl compilation (NEXT WAVE ACID PUNX) Via Belgian powerhouse, N.E.W.S, showcasing a passion for New Beat, Early EBM, Post-punk and obscure Italo which gained critical acclaim worldwide.
