Multi Culti’s lucid-lifestyle dreamer Peter Power takes us on a free-wheeling trip to the motherland on AFRO DAMBA.

The Irish-born Voodoohop resident has returned from the jungles of Bahia with a fresh ep of primal party tracks sampling voices and rhythms from across Africa and it’s neighbouring islands, producing what is easily his most club-oriented work to date. Whereas his tracks for Voodoohop were spiritual flute-heart-openers, these are neo-pagan mating-ritual floor-fillers. The rhythm is set to tribal chug, with rollicking percussion, reverb-soaked vocals, and all the fun jangly bells & bits you expect to be hanging off such a well-traveled producer.

If that weren’t enough, we enlisted Romanian-dance-duo Khidja to double-down and remix both Adama Waro and Dansakoni (available as a digital-exclusive). Resident mix-lord Dreems also weighs in with a subtle remix of Dansakoni, gently upping the tempo and tweaking the knobs in selfless service of the original groove.

• 'Mori Baka’ samples a song of the Baka people, traditionally sung to help children fall asleep
• ‘Mori' comes from Moribyassa; a  traditional malinke rhythm of West Africa

Grown in the political, and clubbing, hot spot of Tel Aviv, Itamar Sagi has been entertaining dancefloors for the past 22 years and his dj career include a 7-year residency at the legendary “Haoman 17”, a club which was elected as one of the best worldwide.

It’s 2007 when, after a series of successful first releases “Cancun / Dreams Theaters” and “Sparta / Weird BAO” Itamar’s name got worldwide attention. The success of these releases propelled Itamar into the global scene and expectations grown strong around his name.

Itamar quickly surpassed those expectations in 2008. First with “Black Gold”, a sublime combination of classic Detroit techno and Chicago house, tech funk and killer stabs, that was announced as one of the 10 best track of WMC08 by DJ Mag. Then, later that same year, Itamar cemented his reputation releasing two Techno monsters: “Later On” on Samuel L Session’s KlapKlap, and “One Million Oaks” on Soma, which was one of Itamar and Soma’s biggest hits and was selected by the label to be remixed by Mark Broom for its 20 Years Anniversary celebration project.

Since then, Itamar’s career has just kept on going up and his profile growing, and today the Israeli’s resume boasts highly respected labels like Ovum, Soma, Drumcode Intacto, Sci-Tec and more..
Having his musical roots based in the Detroit and Chicago sound of the 90’s, Itamar brings up these influences in his music which is always characterized by an advanced production and care for the sound. Itamar’s tracks can range from epic sounding material as “And The Rest” or “Fiona”, to more classic loopy techno affairs as “Selio” or “Coffee Beans”.

on early 2017 Itamar founded his own label "3R88 RECORDS", there he's promise to deliver his sound, groovy and full of emotion.

With each of his releases being supported by the biggest djs all across the world and by reviews and interviews, Itamar Sagi is a well respected name in Techno and an artist not keen on compromises when it comes to musical quality.
