Ok well, my DJ name 'Anudai' means A New Day, if you say it phonetically (hence Anudai A New Sound). But why? 

Beyond a catchy name & look, I chose it because it takes the greatest strength in each of us to keep fighting the good fight in a world that keeps failing us. Each day, a new day, is a chance to live again refreshed in that fight. To make this day better, for us & others. Somedays we win, and on others the voices saying to be this, do that, don't be that, don't think this, hate them, love this, buy this are so much louder. It's increasingly easy for each of us to get lost in the fog.

One of my favorite characters has a quote, "You must never give into dispair. In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself.". We all have to find, and fight, for that piece inside of us. That gives us hope, tells you who you are, and your light.

This music is personal because it's what I listen to when I need that reminder. When I sit and pray, or I'm frustrated, or when I just need a moment to myself on a good drive. Musically too, this mix closest to what I envisioned if I ever knew how to produce music. A blend of melodic bass and vocal leads. The purpose of the Anudai project was to bring people music that gives them hope.

RIDERS ON THE STORM (GROOVE TERMINATOR EDIT)

As a big fan of melodic house & techno, ARC music festival in Chicago can't be missed. I wrote this song on the train from St. Louis to Chicago, inspired by the artists I would be seeing over the next 3 days. I wanted to write something more breakbeat-inspired, with a continuous groove underneath driven by a 16th-note arp.
