It is hard to capture the beauty, fragrance, and magic you experience standing in a sea of wildflowers. This, however, is just what I, the Mountain has done with their latest single. Equal parts majestic and delicate, with just a hint of nostalgia, “Wildflowers”(co-written with Simon Ward, The Strumbellas) colours a love-lost relationship of distance and memory with the belief in a perfect reunion. “Truthfully, I never thought that I’d lose you / Hopefully I can find you again”. Folk lovers will find joy in the song’s honest lyrics and natural imagery while the soaring harmonies make it perfect for festivals and stadium performances. For fans of The Strumbellas, Arkells, The Lumineers... and anyone who has lost in the arms of someone special.
