Hyperterranean #006 with Aa Sudd

The Sardinia based artist Ludovica Frauu created the fourth journey of our Herbarium mix series. It's all about a very fresh sounding groovy journey, an exquisit selection of gems, we are very honoured to feature this wonderful trip. Its story reveals a wide spectrum of moods which are mixed together in a beautiful way. You will stumble upon diverse textures, polyrhythmic drums patterns and interesting harmonies.

To connect the mood of the mix to the herbal concept of the series, the artist chose the plant Capparis spinosa (caper), which she is particularly fond of. Her grandparents had a large plant in their garden. They used to pick its fruit and then process it. The plant is very hardy and grows even in the city, as it is able to penetrate its roots into the interstices of stones. In fact it is considered a rebel plant, because it decides how and where to grow. The flower is beautiful and elegant and is an unharvested fruit, bloomed.
The first part of the set reminds of the flower, the second of the plant itself.

This Live set was recorded for SubRadio’s anniversary and prepared specifically for the occasion using as set up a Roland Tr-808, Eurorack modular system and various recordings from the Plants Army Revolver.
What a strong experience we experienced, we couldn't have asked for a better streaming to celebrate our two years. Setting of the flight we have enjoyed an out of this world Live set by the hand of the Plants Army Revolver on board countless modular connections, drum machines (that beautiful 808) and their characteristic sound synthesis, always deep, always analog and accompanied in complete harmony by the visual constructions of the great Ruben Castillo. 
Broken and paused rhythms, deep atmospheres of an organic character without equal, enveloping textures in constant expansion and endless hypnotic constructions acting on various points of the body and mind. A true harmonic, mental and esoteric journey to float peacefully around the cosmos through a carefully crafted progression of beautiful soundscapes.

BASSIANI-ს მორიგი პოდკასტის სტუმარია იტალიური პროექტი Dadub, რომელიც 2008 წელს დაარსდა. Dadub თავიდან იტალიელი არტისტის და ხმის ინჟინერის,  Daniele Antezza სოლო პროექტი  იყო, რომელსაც Giovanni Conti 2008 წელს შეუერთდა. მათი ინდივიდუალური და განსხვავებული მუსიკალური გამოცდილების ხარჯზე, ახალი პროექტი თავიდანვე ორიგინალური იდეების მატარებელი გახდა. მათი პირველი სოლო რელიზი, სახელწოდებით "Way To Moksha"  Stroboscopic Artefacts-ზე 2012 წელს გამოვიდა. მას მალევე მოჰყვა რამდენიმე EP და სადებიუტო ალბომი “You Are Eternity”, რომელიც წლის ერთ-ერთ მთავარ ტექნო მოსვლენად იქცა.

The authors of the 11th mix for Bassiani podcast series is Dadub, an Italian electronic music duo and mastering engineers, based in Berlin. Dadub used to be a solo project started by sound designer and musician Antezza in 2008. At this time Daniele came via Rome where he'd plunged himself into production and electronic music. Soon he was joined by Conti who was working on the interactive digital art projects at that time. Both members are working in Artefacts Mastering studio and are highly connected to Stroboscopic Artefacts label where they have released 4 EPs , including "Way To Moksha", "Preternity" and recent critically acclaimed debut album “You Are Eternity”.

“We care a lot of low frequencies and deep hypnotic atmospheres, and we both were drummers, so we guess the beats are important for us, both the patterns and the sounds,” –Bassiani’s 11th podcast mix is all about cinematic conceptual techno, ambient and dub. Antezza and Conti, a duo whose output is underpinned by a mutual curiosity, bring us dynamic, abstract musical adventure, with its ups and downs. Starting with atmospheric, dark oriented intro, the mix turns into diverse rhytmic section and end up with solid techno records.

Residing as the spearhead of her own imprint Neighbourhood. for the last decade, TASHA was an essential presence at our last Ilian Tape takeover. Championing elusive techno cuts and disorderly rhythms, this cherished friend of ours supplied an unruly air of camaraderie to her appearance with her devilish mixing skills and unwavering energy. 

Lucky for us all, this set was also recorded. Stamping her rebellious jigsaw piece into the delightfully mind-boggling party, Tasha slotted in perfectly against the accompanying, mesmeric bedlam from the 24-hour roster.

FOLD X ILIAN TAPE - TASHA

After a short break, we are returning with a new episode of the Harmony Rec. podcast series. Today, we have the honour to finally introduce an artist who has been on our radar for a while. 

Konduku aka Ruben Üvez is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, originally from the Netherlands. Starting his career by releasing a well-received debut LP - "Kiran," Konduku quickly got recognition among the listeners. Since then, Ruben has been a part of several impressive music projects. His work has been released on record labels such as Delsin, IDO and Idle Hands, proving Konduku as a natural talent. Producing is not the only thing that keeps Ruben busy.  His DJ CV includes a variety of prominent European clubs beginning with De School and ending with Berlin's about blank. 

The set itself describes Konduku in detail. Excellent mixing skills accompany the unique music style that we would describe as groovy and organic. The transition from summer to autumn is often uneven. Still, we believe that Konduku's set will make it softer for you. Enjoy.
