~ About The Story ~

After the red leaf and the gold have gone, 
Brought down by the wind, then by hammering rain 
Bruised and discolored, when October's flame 
Goes blue to guttering in the cusp, this land 
Sinks deeper into silence, darker into shade. 
There is a knowledge in the look of things, 
The old hills hunch before the north wind blows. 

Now I can see certain simplicities 
In the darkening rust and tarnish of the time, 
And say over the certain simplicities, 
The running water and the standing stone, 
The yellow haze of the willow and the black 
Smoke of the elm, the silver, silent light 
Where suddenly, readying toward nightfall, 
The sumac's candelabrum darkly flames. 
And I speak to you now with the land's voice, 
It is the cold, wild land that says to you 
A knowledge glimmers in the sleep of things: 
The old hills hunch before the north wind blows.

I speak cold silent words a stone might speak
If it had words or consciousness,
Watching December moonlight on the mountain peak,
Relieved of mortal hungers, the whole mess
Of needs, desires, ambitions, wishes, hopes.
This stillness in me knows the sky's abyss,
Reflected by blank snow along bare slopes,
If it had words or consciousness,
Would echo what a thinking stone might say
To praise oblivion words can't possess
As inorganic muteness goes its way.
There's no serenity without the thought serene,
Owl-flight without spread wings, honed eyes, hooked beak,
Absence without the meaning absence means.
To rescue bleakness from the bleak,

Campfire Stories 39 (Constellations) by Joachim Spieth

Todays special, the French Gimlet, is made of Gin, lime juice and St. Germaine. It is a wonderful drink for a hot day. And it happens to be Bona Fide’s favorite cocktail. No question we have him mixing this one for you!

Bona Fide, or Marko, with his real name, lives in NYC. Originally he is from Belgrad/Serbia but came around quite a bit: he grew up in Moscow and went to college in Boston. It was in Boston where Marko first began to DJ, performing gigs at various nightclubs and soon as resident at Bijou Nightclub.

While spending one college year abroad, in Madrid/Spain, Marko got into producing his own tracks. Thanks to his experience from djaying, or “knowing what makes the people dance”, he seemed to hit a nerve of a crowd, hungry for his deep and dreamy edits on SoundCloud. It was only months later when his first official releases followed: on imprints such as 3000 Grad, Shanti Moscow Radio, Magician on Duty and most recently, in a collaboration with Germany PHCK,  on Nie Wieder Schlafen.

Bona Fide, by the way, means something made with genuine intent. Something real. This applies also to his delicious French Gimlet. We love those real and dreamy vibes.
