This is the beginning of a series of collaborative 4 track releases hoping to forge unique and interesting productions from some of our favorite artists.

Launching this series, Bristol native and head honcho of the Softcore imprint, Portway goes head to head with Aussie 140 maestro Ape Suit creating a dark, bass heavy energy weaving across electro,140 and jungle styles.

NÜ PREMIERE  : Ape Suit - Mistaken Identity (Portway Remix) (EXCESS)

Since 2011, Simon Hafner aka Sun People from Graz has been merging footwork, juke, jungle and UK hardcore influences to create his own distinctive sound. With releases on labels like Exit, Alphacut, Rua Sound and Through These Eyes, he has made a name for himself in the international 160 bpm scene over the years. In addition to remix jobs and his own productions, Simon also pursues his musically eclectic vision on a highly rated four-weekly radio show on London's Sub.FM.

On his EP The Walls, released in 2020 on Defrostatica, he devoted himself to early Chicago house music as well as European proto-hardcore of the 80s and the turbo sound championed by the likes of Fracture, Itoa and BSN Posse.

In 2022, Sun People presents a refined version of high-speed breakbeat minimalism, drawing further from bleep, dub and even industrial techno, but still with optimistic depth. From the cold bleep-influenced opener Into The New to the jungle-tekno track Overtoom and the tribalism of State of Flux, Sun People builds its own hypnotic approach to captivate dancers. Amaterasu marks the soulful coda and gives us the opportunity to take a breath.

After bilateral admiration for their works Lenor & AA4K joint forces to exchange sonic ideas and in the end create this shared experience. Both being very emotion-driven in their respective works the theme of their collaborative track quickly became very clear. Be ready to get lost in an emotional-raw soundset led by beautiful guitars, touching vocals and hard kicks.

Berlin's Dark Real Dark Collective has been steadily growing a label. Today we premiere Yoofee's "CENTRIFUGE FIF" remix from their forthcoming HALBER BALL EP.  This talented jazz musician has been making big waves in Berlin's bass scene. With releases on Through These Eyes Records, Sub Garden, Indigo Movement, Dark Real Dark, The Dreamers, Infernal Sounds and more to come, its clear Yoofee's versatile sound has got his name circulating. [PREMIERE] HALBER BALL - CENTRIFUGE FIF (YOOFEE REMIX)

Unchained presents “The Remixes” compilation, a 16 track exploration of sound, encompassing a slew of fresh music by some insanely fresh talent as well as a collection of the label’s best remixes to date. With a universal roster of artists from China, Europe, UK and the States, the LP continues to forward the label’s aim of discovering and embodying unique forms of fast bass music whilst staying true to the foundations of Drum and Bass. 

Representing China, both RADIAX and 3ASIC reinterpret two of the label’s biggest tunes by OAKK and HØST - resonating with elements of rolling DNB, Jump Up, Juke and Hardcore.  From the UK, WHINEY, ROHAAN, HØST and ARKAIK deliver various mutations of grit - spanning minimal, glitch, halftime and liquid. Continuing to explore fertile new ground, contributors from Europe also exhibit their rich diversity in all things electronic. From modular wubs to halftime gems to left-field bangers WAS A BE, FRACTALE, BLACK BARREL, KABUKI and SUPB YAO probe fresh hybrid terrain. Stateside, DOCTOR JEEP continues his unfolding journey into Drum’n’Bass whilst SINISTARR meditates firmly on his Detroit roots.

In this premiere we present Unchained remix comp winner YOOFEE offering his outstanding take on "Backwitda".
