Excerpt from Echo Sings at Night, a game made for the GMTK Jam 2020. This game create random melodies on each session. In a very Brian Eno fashion, it is a system which purpose is to create unpredictable music. While I'm not completely satisfied with the sound equalization, the resulting harmonies are interesting.

Second session from Echo Sings at Night, this time with the sequencer mode activated. This put the notes in a rhythm rather than an entirely random timing. The result is more energetic, but still pretty chill.

This was a entirely new kind of work for me! First, fort the first time I played instruments live with a USB-MIDI cable. There's a lot of improvisations here, which is something I actually never tried. Secondly, I'm not used to actually compose in the ambiance genre! I wanted this track to be long, because it would play during the entirety of the game, and it shouldn't feel repetitive. I explored short motifs that jump from an harmony to another. I took a lot of inspirations from the works of Hiroshi Yoshimura, and Terry Riley's In C. I'm quite satisfied with the result!

Virtualized Landscapes

I'm a hobbyist game developer. Specifically, I like to make games about music : dynamic soundtrack, interactive songs, procedural soundscapes… I've been composing for a few years now, and I feel that some of the music I've made deserve to be enjoyed by themselves. Thus I'll publish some of my works here! You won't experience the interactive aspect of most of them, but at least you'll be able to just listen to them. That is a nice thing too.
