Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the summer season by showcasing new interpretations of Beije's 'Azimuth'. Originally released in March of 2020 as part of the label's popular 'Correlation' series, it found the Toronto duo crafting a deep, enchanting slice of house that found favour with a cross section of tastemaker DJs. Progressively more prolific since first appearing in 2019, Beije has already landed key releases with 3rd Avenue, Good News Records, Manual Deep and Harabe. Looking to breathe new life into 'Azimuth' as the world slowly opens back up, Sound Avenue invites GMJ, Mark Slee and Emotional Tourist to reimagine the track. 

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Azimuth' is GMJ. Based in Melbourne, Australia GMJ aka Gavin Griffin has been a primary figure in the progressive house scene for over a decade. His passion for deep and emotive electronic music has seen him land releases on the industry's most esteemed imprints. From Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music to Cid Inc's Replug Records and UK behemoth Anjunadeep, it's GMJ's storytelling style that continues to surprise and inspire even the genre's most discerning fans. Having made his Sound Avenue debut in May of last year with a remix of Eric Lune's 'Embers', GMJ now returns with a stunning rendition of 'Azimuth'. Smooth, emotive and rhythmically buoyant, it's tasteful musicality while not overt, may be its strongest suit. Charming atmospheres and redolent shades set the backdrop for a narrative of hopeful vocal wails, hazy harmonics and exotic drums. A timely break serves to reset the framework, melting away layers of melody and atmosphere for a thumping drop and purring finale. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it not only complements the original version beautifully but should find favour with both deep and progressive DJs across the summer season.

'or Juicebox Music's 49th release, we're excited to welcome & host Kabi (AR) & K Loveski for their debut collaborative EP, featuring 'Lost In Roses' & 'Whisper From The Moon'. Hailing from Buenos Aires (Argentina), Lucas Khabie aka Kabi (AR)'s dreamy & club-effective style caught the attention of the progressive community with stellar EPs on Soundteller Records & Balkan Connection, back in 2020. Within a short span of time, he's had his music featured on Juan Pablo Torrez' "Clubsonica Records", Max Freegrant's "Freegrant Music" and Guy Mantzur's "Plattenbank". Konstantin Petrov, better known to everyone as K Loveski, is considered more of a veteran with production experience that spans over a decade & a DJ'ing career that's nearing thrice as long. The Saint Petersberg (Russia) native and WARPP club resident has seen his music being released on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" imprint & his mix for "Balance Music", Francesco Pico's "Magnitude Recordings" & Sonic Union's "Lowbit Records" to name a few.
Premiering their collaborative 2-track EP on Juicebox Music, Kabi (AR) & K Loveski showcase their unique styles while complimenting each other's strengths. 'Lost In Roses' paints a more euphoric mood with its lush melodies & energetic drive while 'Whisper From The Moon' digs deeper with it's funk-inspired groove and sprinkled riffs.'

This year's Summer Collection (curated by label owner Nick Warren) is 20 tracks of Electronic gold. Every track chosen reflects the diversity of the label and showcases some wonderful artists' work.

We kick off with Leandro Caceres' "A Strange Case", a melancholy journey of part sadness and part joy. Next is Urmet K with "Sri Sukta", organic Sri Lankan vibes with a beautiful vocal from Shawni. Nosssia with "Amoureux" brings a weighty groove and melody to die for. We drop the tempo next with Marcan Liav and "Aninat In Space", a beautiful vocal track.

Stillhead is no stranger to The Soundgarden and with "Amusia" we head straight to the beach for a relaxed and groovy journey.

Bautista Toniolo brings us "Grumari", a lovely light progressive track with a refrain not a million miles away from 70s prog rock.

Pedro Capelossi is up next with "Mystical Atlas" which as its name suggests, takes you on a journey around the globe. This went down a treat for Nick in Argentina this year.

Amol Reon serves up a groovy delight with "The Dawn". Joyous melodies envelope you and send the dancefloor into overdrive.

French artist Sasson and SEGG deliver "Crossing Path", which locks you in and doesn't let you go. A great track by these young artists.

And we have Maezbi's "Patri" – it’s all things gorgeous, like a walk in the rainforest. It is one of Nick's favourite tracks of the past year.

We start off the second half of the compilation with the hugely talented Christian Monique's "Nexus Protocol". It’s a real statement of intent and was Nick's opening track on many of his Argentina shows earlier this year. This is followed by Vinu with "The Source", containing a brilliant hook that works a treat.

Facundo Baggio delivers a progressive bomb with "Osho" and Zankee Gulati gives us a peach full of melody.

Anhauser, Lio Q, Nicolas Leonelli’s "Montevideo" is a South American groove machine and Australian GMJ's track "Lifewaves" showcases the producer’s great talent.

The Soundgarden’s friend Fran Bux is next with "Forest Of Light", which lit up the Andes on Nick’s Argentina tour at the start of the year.

Doma and Amir Telem satisfy the dancefloors before we end with the blistering Subandrio & Nishan Lee's beast of a track, "Borax", which is a heavyweight groover.

Ladies and gentlemen the time has come for you to meet Konstantin Kuranakov a. k. a. Jiminy Hop - underground music producer from the exotic Altay region settled down in Russia's northern capital - the foggy Saint-Petersburg. Starting his DJ career in 2016 inspired by David August's Boiler Room mix Konstantin keeps on growing as an artist, mastering his brand sound and producer flair.
Besides the "Jiminy hop" - his main project, made his appearance at Dyo Atoma together with Sam Scheme doing mostly progressive house, deep house, melodic house and organic house recordings.
The vast popularity and love was brought by US, Argentinian, Mexican, Dutch and German audience as well as Russian musical "market" where he drops plenty of interesting projects in different genres.

Mike Griego returns to the label with the 'Foreign Affair' EP. 

It's been a subdued 2021 for Mike, who's focused much of the year on studio work. But after a brace of releases for The Soundgarden and Replug, he's back in the swing of things and his music means everything to us.

The EP opens with title track 'Foreign Affair', a bongo-led groover with silky smooth vibes. Huge kicks fill the low end as wafer-thin pads punctuate the deepness. Picking up pace midway, sonics and percussive layers increase the tempo before the main break, leading to an aquatic calm before powering into the second half. Next up, 'Erini' lays down a more traditional bass-led vibe. Deep and drenched in reverb, guitar licks light up the soundscape playfully melting into the percussive framework. A xylophone melody completes the picture. Finally, Mike drops a dub version of 'Foreign Affair' to round out the pack toughening up the original and putting more emphasis on the growling bass that syncopates the rhythm.

Jamie Stevens and Zankee Gulati collaborate on the impressive 'The Rip' EP with remix support coming from Argentina under the sign of Paul Deep. 

Jamie needs little introduction, a stalwart of the Aussie prog scene since the '90s and prominent member of Infusion, his golden touch has affected 100s of records over the years culminating in a whos who of releases on seminal labels such as Bedrock, Balance Music and Coldharbour Recordings. 

Zankee Gulati broke on to the scene in 2011 and is making a real name for himself in Sydney's thriving clubland. A DJ and promoter primarily, his talents are now branching out to production. With releases on The Soundgarden, Balance Music and more, his distinctive sound is being to reach an international audience. 

Opening with 'The Rip' a tough mid set groove wastes no time reaching an early crescendo, where vocal chops and a wobbly synth line light up the floor. 'Utveckla' keeps up the pace with a low slung vibe with warm melodic flourishes perfect for the summer months. 

On remix duties, Paul Deep turns in two contrasting reimaginations. Firstly, the 'Basement Remix' takes us in a late night direction. Focusing on a hypnotic groove, the melodics act as layers of percussion all pointing towards a heads down stompathon. The 'Terrace Remix' sees Pauls lighter side; bouncy and joyous.
