Born and partially raised on the small Caribbean island of St. Lucia, Lady Stone’s passion for music began at an early age. Growing up in a strictly religious household, a mandatory placement on the school and church Choir exposed a love for singing. But it was discovering John Denver’s album, “It’s About Time”, in cassette form that would initiate an insatiable hunger for music. At age 9, while nursing an elementary school broken heart, she wrote her first song. 

Stone migrated to and has spent the last twenty years in Brooklyn, New York. She attended and excelled academically at various public schools in Brooklyn including, Winthrop I.S 233 and Boys and Girls High. She also briefly attended Riverdale High School in Clayton County, Georgia, a year after R&B Singer, Ciara, had graduated; she returned to Brooklyn after six months in the Atlanta suburbs. 

Stone’s eclectic taste in music developed in her early teens and directly influences her style of writing and vocal delivery; from renegade reggae legends such as Bob Marley, Culture, and Lucky Dube to female powerhouses like Celine Dion and Bonnie Rait; Hiphop heavyweights Jay-Z and Eminem, country music king, George Jones and newfound favorite singer/songwriter, Trevor Hall. 

In 2017, Stone began communication with Reggae artist, Jah Cure and some of her pen-work will be featured on his upcoming release, Royal Soldier. 

Stone’s debut album, The Red Wedding, was inspired by an infamous scene in the popular TV Series, Game of Thrones. Her stage name is also a nod to a character depicted in the scene; Lady StoneHeart. 

“Fans of the show know Catelyn Stark. She was killed at The Red Wedding along with her first born, his wife and would-be grandchild. But us book readers, we know lady StoneHeart. She was catelyn reborn and out for fucking retribution. That’s what The Red Wedding album is about. Exacting revenge on past loves and relationships, which both positively and negatively affected me, but getting that payback through raw prose and vulnerable vocals, if that makes sense. I have no interest in any other kind of revenge”

The former information technology specialist turned singer/songwriter hopes to leave an unforgettably lasting impression with her music in 2018 and beyond.

iLL Pearce is an artist. His love for writing and Hip Hop started at the age of 9, as a way of coping. He has honed his writing ability over the years and it is evident in the creativity of his lyrics. His flow is unique, as he tends to switch them up to exercise his ability. He is truly talented and will be a major force in the music industry for a long time!
