Yello is a Swiss electronic music group formed in 1979 in Zurich, best known as a duo consisting of Boris Blank (composer, producer, electronics) and Dieter Meier (vocals, lyrics). They are widely regarded as pioneers of electronic, synth-pop, and experimental music, known for their innovative use of sampling and sound design.

Yello’s music is characterized by Boris Blank’s richly layered electronic compositions and Dieter Meier’s deep, expressive, and often theatrical vocal style. Their sound blends elements of electro-funk, new wave, ambient, and avant-garde pop, creating a distinctive and cinematic atmosphere.
