Hiya, my name is Des and I am a 21-year-old DJ from New York City, currently based in London. I call myself Alpengeist because I use a roller coaster to describe my style of mixing, enjoying taking you through a story of energetic raw melodies and gritty, deep bass lines. I began mixing last year but I feared that since I didn’t grow up here, people won’t think I can be as passionate about a scene I’m physically far away from. Through networking and spending time between the US and the UK, I have supported artists including Majistrate, Latte, Looney, Kendrick, Neman, Tempa, and Puizo in Bristol, Birmingham, London, Brighton, and NYC. After releasing a few of my own tunes with loads of support, I continue to produce and learn from artists including Telekom, Eazy, Burga Boy, Dominator, Leaf, and Tomoyoshi. I’m currently working with the Birmingham-based label Sisterhood Birmingham and cannot wait to continue doing what I love by creating content and representing my love for Drum and Bass.
