The follow up EP to Yellow Claw’s epic Jeffree’s debut, Amsterdam Twerk Music cleans up your definition of “dirty” just so they can strip it down to booty claps and bass rolls. The first track, “DJ Turn It Up” is a subtle dance floor anthem reminiscent of the heavy bass from your nostalgic middle school days of grinding to timeless hip-hop anthems.

On the second track, Yellow Claw teams up with Tropkillaz and The Kemist to bring us “Assets,” a track that twists its vocals in a way that winds through the most bass-hungry, whimsical quarter of your imagination. “P*$$YRICH feat. Adje” then transports you deeper into Yellow Claw’s bass dungeon, leaving its victims up against the walls bumping and grinding till sunrise.

Amsterdam Twerk Music concludes with “Slow Down”, an addictive baseline paired with a jock-jams reminiscent hook. Yellow Claw are the tastemakers of guilty pleasure. But lets be honest… there’s no guilt attached to the obsession.

The resulting body of work is honest, original and generally weird as hell.  Im very proud of the EP and I hope it inspires other artists to get weird in their very own ways as well.  Be allowed. I love how the bass drop of this tune feels like a biiiiiiig ballooooooon swelling up. Or what happens in slow motion when an elephant lands in the center of a trampoline and it stretches down so low. I have infinite appreciation for Zion I as well as Rye Rye - fucking proper team :) To me this song is an anthem about how good it feels when things just click into place - when you're in your own zone, and following your path, striving upwards at light-speed, doing the right thing, and the negative energy of others simply cannot phase you. It's not always easy to remember that when someone is hating or trying to pull you down: it's showing a lack of love in their lives. Instead of getting mad at them, it makes more sense to feel sad for them, to feel sorry for them, and if you feel strong enough, be kind to them. Anyways, when all the trolls on Facebook tell you how bad this record sucks, you can laugh and sing in your mind: "At the top of the world, your bad vibes don't phase me."
