To hear this song after almost 9 years out of the blue is a punch to the gut but I feel like back in the days me 16 in my room with my Handy and earphones in my ear thinking to end it and my care giver seeing me struggling after I told her that I swallowed many pills and she drove me to the hospital and after to the mental hospital

 시간은 너무 빠르게 흘러가버린다. 

정말 좋아하는 음식을 충분히 음미하지도 못했는데 어느새 정신을 차려보면 이미 목구멍을 넘어가 무언가를 삼킨 감각만 희미하게 남아있을 때. 
글쎄, 맞는 비유인지는 모르겠지만 하여튼 그런 서운함이 밀려오니까.

다만, 선명하게 기억나는 건 유년시절이다.
조용한 집, 나른한 오후 집에서 혼자 숨바꼭질을 하곤 했던 게 가장 큰 기억의 조각이다.

조그맣던 어린 나는 엄마의 옷장에 숨는 걸 좋아했었다.

추억에는 제각기의 향기가 있다고 했다. 지금 와서 생각해보면 그때의 향기-그저 옷장 안 냄새라고 해야 할 수도 있겠다.-는 습기 제거제 냄새, 세탁소 비닐 냄새, 거의 다 날아가 버린 엄마의 향수 냄새로 기억한다.

집에 아무도 없는 날이면 좋아하는-몇 번이나 읽은- 동화책을 들고 옷장 안 옷들을 쿠션 삼아 기대어 그림 구경을 하다 잠에 들곤 했다. 꿈속에선 잠들기 전 봤던 예쁜 삽화들이 꿈속을 가득 채워 단잠을 자게했다.

내가 기억하는 나의 유년시절은 여기까지이다.
