I wrote a song called "Mass Confusion" and shared it with an auditorium full of several hundred people at the "Summer Songwriting Workshop" at Berklee College of Music, Boston, in August of 2001. One faculty member didn't like my song, because after listening to it, he told me in front of the assembled auditorium full of people that "your song causes mass confusion".  Another faculty member complemented me on one aspect of the song lyrics, which I appreciated. 9/11 occurred less than one month later. Fast forward to 2025. I took my lyrics of "Mass Confusion", added some of the lyrics from the Beatles song "Yesterday", and created several versions. This particular one is with female vocal harmonies, and an acoustic feel.

This is the first song I've written about bulimia. This song presented quite a challenge for me - I hadn't thought about how it feels to be bulimic for a long time, so reliving the mentality was difficult. I also wanted to maintain the same sound and feel to the lyrics as my other songs.

Beauty In The Darkness is a song from my 2020 album under the same name. 

This track was inspired by a YouTube comment on one of my other songs, which made me realise that there are elements of beauty within the darkness of eating disorders - for example, the intense euphoria and feeling of achievement experienced through weight loss. The lyrics convey how the ED tries to seduce the sufferer by playing on insecurities and fears from childhood, or from peer pressure, and offers a misleading sense of comfort and security.
