The track is taken from Stēzo’s forthcoming posthumous album, ‘The Last Dance,’ which is produced entirely by his close friend and collaborator, Chris Lowe. And like the rest of the album, “Rapzone” is a firm reminder of Stēzo’s talents that he continued to work on and fine-tune over the years before his tragic passing in 2020.

Motivated by troubling current events blended with a love for ‘90s Hip-Hop, the Colorado by way of NY emcee Chop Clark delivers his potent and politically fueled new single, “40 Acres,” produced by Frank Dutch.
 
As the emcee tells it, he wanted to provide listeners with a sound that’s just as modern as it is nostalgic. It’s a track that embodies the sample-flipping Boom bap style that leaves your head nodding because Dutch kills it on the boards, but it also pulls you in with its timely and relevant lyrics from Clark.
 
“I wanted to take the listener back to the ‘90s and still speak on current events,” Clark explains, while noting that “40 Acres” is very much an ode to the Wu-Tang Clan. He shows love to the legendary rap crew not only through actual shout outs—listen up about halfway through—but also in staying true to the sound they created.
 
And for those loving Clark’s approach on “40 Acres,” you’ll be pleased to know it’s a proper introduction to what he’s bringing on his new project, Reconstruction. He says that you may hear some different and varied sounds on the album, but that it will all remain rich in content. Clark shouldn’t have a problem doing that as long as he keeps delivering fire like this, particularly that passionate closing verse over Dutch’s beat changeup.

The sense of urgency in Vangarde’s new single, “Shelter in Place,” is palpable from all parties involved, from the powerful lyricism of Mr. Lif  and guest Blacastan, to the driving production courtesy of Stu Bangas.

“‘Shelter In Place’ is a demand for the American government to do better not only in coronavirus response, but in functioning to increase the moral capital of communities rather than solely increasing the financial capital of the wealthy,” Lif explained. 

The single serves as the album’s final leak and becomes available this Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 02 through all DSPs and may be purchased for instant-grat off the iTunes and Bandcamp pre-order landings.
