[Runner up in X&G's Persona Remix Contest]

X&G and Josh Pan are some huge influences of mine, so when I saw X&G were hosting a remix contest I was like "..shit"

Really an absolute pleasure working with these stems.
Headroom? Premium. Sound design? Nuts. A third adjective? You bet.
Fast forward a month, really put a wholeass load of work into this one and ended up dumping a ton of time into the details the last 48 hours before the deadline. 

ANYWAY, when I saw they picked my track as a runner up out of some seriously fierce competition, I was absolutely geeked.
Xian & Gaszia, thank you sincerely for the opportunity!

In complete contrast to the other track on the EP this has no deeper significance at all. 
It just bang.

This track went through several pretty wildly different versions through out it's development and actually started on an Elektron Digitakt, which is a hardware drum machine/groove box, for the uninitiated.

Signals

This track has a deeply personal origin, and was largely the impetus for putting out this EP. Feels to me, now that I think about it, like releasing this track is, in some form or another, me accepting the finality of some shit and finding some probably misplaced catharsis. Breathe in, breathe out, keep moving.

Sonically it feels like being adrift in some placid sun-drenched air, passing blossoming trees and french cafés, the sun rippling off turquoise water and the wayward hint of cigarette smoke.
