Those words resonate with me more now than ever... These past couple of years have been challenging; seemingly an endless cycle of uncertainty and worries; but, I finally feel like things are getting back on track and my hope is that we all come out of this period stronger than ever. Music has always been my escape and I hope that this song can bring back as many happy memories for you as it has me. 

Throughout my childhood, my mom would tell me the story of how she was lucky enough to have dinner with Steve Miller and the Band, while stopping through my hometown of Spokane, WA. So for this remix, I felt more like I was making a tribute to their kindness towards their fans than any of my previous remixes. 

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it :)

Snoop has always had a huge influence on my musical taste. One of the first live concerts I ever went to as a kid was a S-N-double-oh-P D-oh-double-G show. Funny story, he got so high in his trailer beforehand, it took him 2 hours to snap out of it to perform. He's a rap icon that remains relevant and I have nothing but respect for his grind.

In summer 2014, I was working construction, before my journey took me overseas to Europe. The foreman would dial in classic rock radio every day and "Fame" came on multiple times every, single, day... This was also a couple years before I began my production journey. After overcoming the diabolically frustrating repetition of the song, I could hear exactly how I would add my own twist on this song, but I knew it would be sometime before my production skills would catch up with my ideas; such is the hardship of a beginning producer. Flash-forward to today, I present to you my take on David Bowie's hit classic, made with funk and love!
