Reminiscing on youth and the endless nights of being in a dance club, Lone Wild steps into the discotheque as thumping drums and funky bass lines are greeted with smooth and dreamy guitars, creating an eclectic combination of sounds as this Neo-Disco love-story unfolds. With opening lines, ‘I still remember the night that we hit it off,’ Lone Wild explores the passions that arise from new love, and the importance of romance & nostalgia in a lasting relationship as the song finds it’s end with the final words, ‘Got down on one knee, gave you my heart, and we said I Do.’

Moving from the darker themes & 80’s influence of their previous releases, Lone Wild dive into the vast soundscape of the 90’s with their latest song, Up With The Sun. Inspired by a dream had by lead singer Ashkan Karimi, Lone Wild tell a story of love intertwined with the bittersweet challenges that come from pursuing your passions. Familiar vocal melodies greeted by washy music themes become the backdrop as lyrics, ‘Now, come be with me now, I’ll be up with the sun where it feels like home’ serve as a reminder of the comfort found in love & the things that are sure to us everyday while we embrace the waves that life throws at us - allowing them to take us where they may.

Up With The Sun

Nashville’s eclectic indie rock act Lone Wild originated under another name in Oklahoma in the 2010’s. In 2018, Lone Wild released his debut singles “Danger Cat” & “Stranger Ways” when Ashkan Karimi (producer/singer) emerged from the studio after recording songs left untouched over the years. Establishing a rep for groovy, 80’s inspired, bombastic rock, Lone Wild met 2019 with a debut self-titled record, and a number of shows.

Moving to Nashville, TN in 2020 around the flurry of a pandemic & the drama of a U.S. election, Karimi escaped to write new music. Building on the previous album’s momentum, from ‘20-23 Karimi wrote his next album as a commentary on the current world around him, and an introspective look on how his upbringing and the world has shaped him. Tapping more into a psych-pop slant dosed in personal vulnerability, Lone Wild released stand-out singles "Tryna Make Sense of It", “Locktup”, & "Space Between"  garnering songs for his sophomore album “Free Yourself” (July  7, 2023). 

With 2 albums of genre-spanning tracks under his belt, Lone Wild looks forward to sharing his songs in rooms with people who have felt unseen, and misunderstood.
