“Glitter in my Eyes” captures the tumultuous cycle of a love that once soared to dizzying heights but eventually unraveled. In her new Single LUCIE explores the highs and lows of a relationship, likening it to a rollercoaster—thrilling, unpredictable, and impossible to stay on forever. The inspiration came from realizing how love can feel like a theme park. Sometimes it is like a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns, but it’s also a merry-go-round, where you keep going in circles, hoping for a different outcome. And then, when it’s over, it feels like watching a timelapse—you see everything so clearly, but it’s already gone.

The production mirrors these metaphors, with violin crescendos that emulate the peaks of a rollercoaster and swirling, hypnotic rhythms that echo the dizzying spin of a merry-go-round. A reflective bridge brings the listener to a halt, like stepping off the ride and looking back at it all in fast-forward, seeing both the beauty and the chaos from a new perspective.

“Glitter In My Eyes” is a testament to the strength it takes to step away, to pause the endless cycle, and to find clarity in the aftermath. It's a song for anyone who has ever loved, lost, and chosen to move forward.

Beyond Now was written from a place where it feels as if we can only look into the world through a wall of glass. As if, existing within a vacuum, we feel prevented from moving on from the past to
be fully present in the now and striving for a future that we cannot reach. The main idea for Beyond Now emerged during a collaborative Songwriting session with Lucie, Hannes and Paul. Lucie had just emerged from an unhealthy relationship and wrote the lyrics
from this feeling of being stuck in the gaps between past, present and future.

Lucie is a singer, songwriter, music producer, sound engineer and performance artist from Berlin. 

Lucie grew up between middle-class suburbs and techno parties. Since her teenage years she is oscillating between the worlds of classical music, Jazz and the Electronic Music Scene. She plays the violin since the age of five, studied singing and songwriting as well as sound engineering and music production. For a few years she made street music, organised raves and toured with her own performance art project "Die Ratgeber" before she started the band Lucie & The Robot in 2019. Since then she has released several self-produced singles.  

In her songwriting Lucie plays with vulnerability, irony and exaggeration to liberate herself and her audience from social anxiety, self-doubt and patriarchal norms. Strong rhythmic hooks in a dark universe of synths and experimental production complement Lucie's etherial vocals. Lucie's Live-Show is a dance-driven Electronic Set played by her and her live-band "Lucie & The Robot" consisting of her and fixed band member Paul Richter (Pink Turns Blue) on drums as well as varying collaborators on bass.
