For our final record of the year, we turn to Glasgow's man of the year - Denis Sulta.

Like a good chunk of the Numbers family, he has earnt his stripes working at the coalface of techno aka Rubadub. He has crafted two excellent twelves for our bare-chested cousins at Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and is beginning to carve himself out a reputation as a DJ of some repute, expertly blending in the bangers with Sulta-certified weirdness. Denis is part of a new wave of Glaswegian artists who are doing amazing things and whose music is continuously exciting us.

‘It’s Only Real’ created by Sulta during a burst of inspiration one Sunday, takes us back to a time when techno was intricately melodic but still kicked hard in the club. Made with only the purest of intentions and a dedication to the art of moving heads and feet.

'Get Real' is the new project from legendary producers, Green Velvet & Claude VonStroke.
The pair, hailing from Chicago and Detroit, headed out on the road together for a string of shows at the tail end of 2015. Get Real was born and VonStroke was soon heading to Green Velvet’s Chicago studio to work on new music.  The result of that trip is the debut Get Real EP featuring two slices of amazing future funk from two creative giants.

In the pre-Hispanic era the ritual of song and dance was known as “IN CUICATL IN XOCHITL” in Nahuatl (el canto y la flor), which translates to “the song and flower”. 

This reference to a flower was a way to integrate an offering ritual with nature. It was a way for the Aztec people to stay in contact with the gods in their natural manifestation, nature. 

These indigenous people lived with an active attitude toward every aspect of their lives, which included not only worshiping their gods as part of their religion, but also the nature in which they lived in because it was provided by these deities.
