I am stoked to share this lively, uplifting, melodic dnb tune with you all! It had been sitting in my WIP folder for months and I finally decided to jump back in and finish it up :). I named it Cherubim to represent the euphoric, almost "heavenly" feeling I kept experiencing while writing this one. Turn the volume up and get ready to bounce! ☁️ 👼

I made this song in about 9 hours during FORM's All Nighter 7 charity event! It was sort of a spur-of-the-moment decision for me to participate in it, but I'm really glad I did, since it finally pushed me to actually finish a song. The only changes I made since the weekend of the event were a couple of samples cutting out that I'd missed, a couple of reverb swells I added to fill space, and mixing/"mastering" changes. (mastering is in quotation marks because I don't really know what I'm doing)

For some reason I was really set on using the Dorian mode somewhere in the song, and so I wrote chords for the second drop first, and then with an underwater theme in mind, I tried to make everything else really brooding, yet really pretty at the same time, like fluorescent deep sea creatures. Also I have no clue how the intro chords came about, but I really liked them, so they got to stay.

Constructive criticism is very much welcomed and appreciated, just keep in mind, again, first song, 9 hours, y'know, all that. But thank you for listening! I hope you like it!

It's been some time since my last release. But the show must go on!

So I came up with this arpeggiated drop idea a few months ago, and Cristina's vocals fit really well, turning this into a Freefall remix, even though I'm pretty late to the party. That doesn't mean it wasn't hella fun to do though!

Heads-up, this remix will not be available in Spotify and similar platforms, because of it being an unofficial remix.
