This song wont be monetized b/c the point is to highlight how a person can be more nuanced in life and death but that death does not diminish what they stood for. Kirks words are available online for all to see. Until it is manipulated by a particular entity. We can not look at only the good we need to view them holistically. While Kirk was a voice in the missing youth population he made a lot of comments against me as a black woman. And yet I have empathy in his passing. I was deeply disturbed by his comments on poverty that was my first interaction a year or two ago. I commented on his post. Poverty is a global assault against humanity and kirks views to just get a job when kids cant afford lunch ignores the parents who do work and are underpaid and to have kids move more and eat less, is accurate for some but many children are also hungry in the nation. Denying this fact is what made me not a fan of him. Food pantries and churches, and shelters are bandaids. They do not end food poverty in the nation. America is food rich and there should be no poverty regarding food.

Overall, the song highlights how the media is pushing an agenda and also how you can be sad but not like what the person stood for.  Its also highlighting the erasure of the white male that killed Charlie. How this erasure allowed trump to blame a party b/c he likely could not hold his own people accountable. Our president did not show the tact Americans needed during this tragedy. Instead he used terminology as if we were at war. 


Thoughts: Why was the national guard not deployed during the 33 hours his killer was not found? Why was the FBI not on point in handling this case? If his father had not cooperated how many more people would be killed? Both parties are responsible for limited legislature regarding gun deaths. Make it political as you may but kirk was not Dr. King. Both parties are responsible for employing cult like rhetoric to further divide the American people.
