This song is inspired by the most unexpected senior year I could have imagined.  Three kids in my school (two in my class) took their lives.  A year really gives you time to think.  I hate that they had to go, but it's in times of adversity that you realize you truly can become a bigger and better person.  There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about these people.  TL passed a year and a day ago, today.  Dakotah and Ericka passed in April.  These are somber dates that I will remember for the rest of my life.  But in these happenings, my community got stronger and showed me that the city may be better, but there is no better bond than a small town who cares about everybody.  Don't be afraid to do or say dumb things, but I challenge you to weigh the choices and the consequences of your decisions.  That's what I've worked on the last year and have truly become a better person because of it.  Gone but never forgotten.
