Beautiful Dreamer. 2nd track to be released off the album 3M0T10N5. 

This track I started when I was on the road in a train and turned into something that really encapsulated the feeling of traveling and those day dreams we all have when we wish we were out somewhere nature or adventuring somewhere new.

My first official release under the heyitsnico project. Had to start with one of my biggest inspirations in music, Daft Punk. Enjoy my house rework of Doing It Right. Follow to download available.

This one took a lot of sessions to master. When creating I was in a moment of anger and frustration. I then came back in another session and had completely moved on from that anger. I tried to capture that moment. When you switch over from being so invested in your anger at something or someone to letting it go, taking a breath and forgiving them or yourself.

Forgiveness

Really fell in love with this track and wanted to get funky with it. Took some drums, vocal, guitar, bass and some other cool elements and made a house rework. Shouts out to Wild Cherry for this one.

This is my first original composition to officially release! 

I came up with a funky bass line inspired by a PAWSA track and wanted to go for a sexier vibe. The lyrics were an amazing find and was exactly what I was looking for. It signified myself trading everything for the love of music. It can be interpreted in many different ways. I love leaving it up to the listener to create their own interpretation of the art. This is the final track on the album, and for good reason. Save the best for last. This lyric really inspired me but it all came together before I even found it. It represents that feeling of not wanting to leave the moment. A longing for prolonging time.

I hope I achieved that in this remix as well. It makes me think of my family, my friends, life, pursuit of happiness and so much more.

Sea of Sad was made at a time in my life when I was going through a lot of change and reminiscing of the times had in a appreciative yet longing perspective. Featuring live piano by yours truly.

3M0T10N5 is meant to take on different feelings in different situations throughout the human journey. An experience of sound to describe a moment. This album is a construction of sounds curated through a DAW with simple instrumentation, sampling and midi tuned to be played on an expansive sound system.

After I watched 'Whiplash' (an absolutely amazing movie about a drummer striving for ultimate perfection as a jazz musician and his struggle) I started doing some deep digging into the songs that were in the movie. 
I came across one of the most famous jazz songs by the amazing Dave Brubeck Quartet and couldn't help myself but remix it! I took some vocals from an interview of Mr. Brubeck talking about the root of jazz and what jazz really means to him. Bless this man he was a legend. Rest in Peace. I hope this piece inspires you as the Brubeck Quartet inspired me with my music. ENJOY!
