I recently discovered that the colour blue is hard to come by in nature. The majority of blue butterflies and flowers do not contain blue pigment in them. They reflect the blue wavelength via the scales on the butterflies skin or fur or the surface of the flowers. The same  goes for animals such as the Peacock .The blue colour on a peacock's train is visible to the naked eye due to visible light reflecting of the crystalline structures of the feathers.
