Good Night Session #005 - The Individual Himself (~120bpm)

Asking Pary what makes life worth living she would answer contrasts. Contrasts make things interesting - without them everything would look, feel, sound the same. So they are what Pary is searching for in electronic music. The constant up and down of life is what she sees depicted in techno: between the breaks and drops, in the flashes of the strobe or in our favourite routine of partying and being wasted.
Her music tries to catch this oscillating vibe by being oscillating too - somewhere in between a dreamy and shiny wonderworld and deep, dark, melancholic depths.

Since she discovered techno she is heavily influenced by what she hears in her hometown Magdeburg. She started to explore the local rave scene in the age of 16 and knew soon, that she wanted to become part of it. Aged 18 she started mixing and organising raves with some of her best friends.
Now two years later we - the escape//kollektiv - are organising a party series at Geheimclub Magdeburg. At the side Pary is messing around with modular synthesis trying to get behind its secrets.
We are honoured to have her playing our second podcast - it’s a turbulent journey from melodic fields to distorted spheres flavoured with a bit of acid.

As a pleasant surprise she put an unreleased track by @archiv_one of the upcoming Collective Futura V Various Artist @corpusblack in her mix.

Carla liebt die Suche nach noch (fast) unberührten Gründen elektronischer Musik. Dieses Mal trifft sie dabei auf Grenzgebiete, die ihr besonders am Herzen liegen. Schon länger treibt sie der Gedanke um, dass es eine Verbindung zwischen richtungsweisenden Künstler*innen der Popkultur und experimentellem, doch trotzdem tanzbaren Techno geben muss. Und siehe da zwischen basslastigen Breakbeats, David Bowie und Acid Techno liegen tatsächlich common grounds, die es zu erkunden gilt.
