Mix-a-Day: 2023

The first installment of Patsy's mini-mix series.  Initially with no set intention or theme, "Beginning"quickly settled into the grey area house meets techno.  Even in this first quick run, we go from ethereal to heavy hitting, with both pop moments and dark energy, all of which, most likely, foreshadows the many directions the series will go from here.

Coming together on the dancefloor’s sacred space, we can confront, question, and ultimately re-write a “happily ever after” that never was.

We’d spend hours scouring websites like HipHopSite.com and ThaLandz.com for RealAudio files of new underground hip hop; and pour over new releases at online retailers like Access Music, Sandbox Automatic, and B-Boy Kingdom; always looking for the most obscure rare underground rap tapes.
