Submersion - free download

I've decided that my 2020 is not about getting more plays. 
It's not about 'blowing up', getting playlisted, or follower numbers.

It's about two things:
becoming a more skilled producer
and documenting that journey

All of that other stuff happens naturally if you do those two.
And there's only one path I see that gets me there as quickly as I want, and that is to commit to releasing a large volume of work which forces me to break down perfectionism, finish projects, and learn.
This means that I'm going to be experimenting, releasing tracks that you might not vibe with, falling short, failing. I'm not leaving melodic bass behind at all, I don't think I could if I tried lol, I just need to push myself and open my mind a bit more.

essentially there will be lots of short term pain that leads to the long term growth. but that's usually how it goes isn't it?

So I just want to thank you guys in advance for your patience with this project. I'm not a great producer yet, but I intend to get closer this year and make music you guys can get behind <3

For the fourth and final track in January i wanted to chill out a bit and just record at my piano. I'm a big fan of Goldmund, and this is obviously pretty inspired by his work. This is a one take improvised piece, which I layered with some other elements to create some atmosphere.

Thank you guys for listening and for motivating me to hit my goal for the month! 4 tracks in one month was a huge challenge but totally doable, and very rewarding.

So, for this track I completely changed the way I route my audio in Ableton, and it's been a learning experience. I think we're moving in a good direction here but bear with me as I re-learn some things and figure this all out. I feel that I have more control over my mix this way, distributing my compression in stages and doing less eq'ing and 'mixing' in the master chain which has always been a problem for me. Anyway, 7th track of the year is done and I'm learning a TON. 
On to the next one 🤘
