I got this idea from coachella in 2023 and it has been stuck in my head since. I heard a remix get played out in the yuma and I tried looking for it afterward and never found it. I was on ableton one night and thought to myself “why not try and make one of my own?” I sat down and ripped this out in about 7 hours. Later that month Coachella dropped the live stream recording of the set and it sounded nothing like what I thought I heard, which was perfect. I was up in the front and heard all bass and vocal which is probably the reason why. Anyway, I absolutely love what I did with the 3rd build and I hope you do too!

German Brigante has been on our radar for a while, as we’ve fallen in love with his moody yet dancefloor friendly sound. Don’t let the name fool you though-his music sounds like he could be from Berlin but he’s based in Spain. After receiving a few demos it was hard to pick a favorite, so we signed a full EP, 'Chronicles'.

Fresh off his critically acclaimed album for Get Physical, he follows up with three brilliant tracks that feature his unique sound that we can’t get enough of.

“Noose” is a monster with a rumbling low end bassline and the right touch of pads to keep it moving. 'The Brigante Chronicles' goes in a dark direction with a sustained bass that you can feel in your bones. He rounds it out with 'Samoa', which is a no frills bomb-jacking beats, rolling bass, and vocal bits that work anytime of the night.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the bonus track 'Hey What’s Up'. But you’ll have to sign up for our new Birdfeed service to get a listen.

Atom kicks off with big techno drums and tense synths layering up into an intense groove. It’s scintillating stuff that takes you to the edge of the cosmos. Gravity is a deeper, more heady track with menacing bass and shooting lasers. Nebula then sucks you into a spooky sound world, with hard drums and cinematic synths adding up to an evocative journey. Last of all, 1991 is more tripped out, with beautiful melodies circling above the soft drums, which makes it feel like you are adrift in space. 

These are four more superbly dramatic techno cuts from one of the best in the game.

Westend has emerged as one of house music's most promising artists. The New York native's ever-expanding sonic footprint was instrumental in drafting the blueprint for the sound of modern tech house and helped usher in an era that has seen American artists once again push to the forefront of dance music culture.

As a teenager during the blog house era, he fell in love with the sounds of artists like MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, and Justice. Compelled to replicate those groundbreaking sounds, he dove head first into production classes at the Bronx High School of Science, the alma mater of famed synth engineer Robert Moog. 

His ability to remain on the leading edge while staying true to the roots of house music has created peak dancefloor moments for ravers across the globe and led to releases on esteemed imprints like Repopulate Mars, Insomniac, Armada, and D4 D4NCE. As one of Beatport's top ten best-selling tech house producers, hit records like 2021's "Jumpin'"—with fellow New Yorker CID—have not only spent weeks dominating the top of the charts, they've landed into the crates of MK, Diplo, Lee Foss, John Summit, and Sonny Fodera. 

Each passing year brings breakthrough moments. In 2022 he collaborated with Latin house kingpin, HUGEL, and Cumbiafrica on "Aguila," which sat in the top ten for staggering eight weeks. In 2023 he collaborated with longtime friend Noizu on the rave-tinged anthem "Push To Start," which quickly rocketed to peak positions on the tech house and overall chart.

And while he continues to climb the charts, he's also been a faithful steward of the producer community leading the Kick and Bass network, where he shares his vast production knowledge with several hundred budding producers. 

Beyond his production prowess, Westend crisscrosses the country, regularly performing at festivals and clubs from EDC and CRSSD to Shambhala and The Brooklyn Mirage. Westend's creativity is constantly expanding. His plans for the coming year include launching his label in late 2023 and embarking on his first solo headline tour.
