Concept One - Shelter [Premiere]

Rolling drums lead the title track ‘Second To None’ into a different direction, led by the ingeniously processed male vocal line and backed up by a twisting, modulating sub. It’s the perfect composite of melodics and weightiness, and one that perfect sums up Wooflet’s intentions in this game. The perfect blend of sub-genres and external influences to play in any set.

"Stepping up to the plate for the 27th release here at your local Off-License, we have an artist who we are more than happy to see the return of, the untouchable Concept One. After first appearing on the label back in April to kickstart our 'ReducedTo Clear' series, this is one artist we had to get back for an EP of his own, and it's safe to say he didn't disappoint. Since his last visit, Concept One has been hard at work, not only producing this stellar EP for us but also having releases on Neurofunk,What Else?, Suspect Device Music, and even a cheeky collab with fellow Austrian genius Mofes thrown in for good measure. At this point, there isn't too muchmore we can say except that we haven't released an EP like this since all the way back in September 2020 on OLR004, but we are extremely gassed to see the return of this style, and. so without further hesitation, may we proudly present, the 'Tarot' EP.If you have followed the label for a while, or if you know the Bossmen High Demand & Enigma well, then you will know that this EP spoke to us on a different level, and if we hadn't signed it then we might as well of quit while we were ahead. Now althoughit may not be everyone's cup of tea, we know it will be for a lot of people, and regardless of personal preference, everyone should be able to appreciate the pure production value that has gone into these 4 tracks. Not only does this release harbour 3 Halftime tracks but there's also a 140 in there, and all 4 are living in sweet harmony together. Those huge in your face basslines are met with some big ol swung, wonky drums and we aren't complaining in the slightest, they say the meaning of Tarot is for fortune-telling, but we don't need that to tell you that the future is looking rather bright for man like Concept One after hearing this EP."
