The Golden Hour

The Unpigeonholeable Sound (Yarchive 1)

Bluffin' exemplifies Yarni’s collaborative ethos, featuring the vocals of Amber Temple and an ensemble of musicians who bring to life a sound that fuses R’n’B, funk, and catchy pop sensibilities. The release’s B-side is a live interpretation with a stripped-back Latin vibe.

To really bring this song to life, Harris worked with a Sheffield-based vinyl lathe cutter to produce a limited run of 50 hand-assembled and numbered 7” records. Bluffin’ is the debut release on the musician’s own imprint Stanhope Records, and is rounded off nicely with a 1950s American diner-inspired artwork by fellow Sheffielder Sapling Studio.
After almost a decade, the Yarni project has evolved into a fully-fledged creative hub, where a diverse range of artists come together to shape and mould their collective musical ideas. The releases have amassed 4.5 million streams and covered more sonic terrain that most artists do in a lifetime.
