This was the original version of the song ✌🏿2✌🏿 but the day before my birthday I decided to completely redesign the song from scratch. I wasn't satisfied with the song and wanted it to have a more upbeat feel to it so I found a new beat, wrote completely different lyrics and recorded a completely new song as the result.

However, I didn't want this version of the song (nor the instrumental) to go to waste since this is honestly the truer version of ✌🏿2✌🏿. This is the version of the song that reflects my thoughts each and every night when I lie awake in my bed thinking about my future. This is the version that begs for your ears to listen. The second and final mixtape half of the Proving Grounds collection. Originally planned as a trilogy, "Proving Grounds 2" evolved into being the final time I "prove myself" as an artist. Through many challenging times I've faced over the last two years since "Proving Grounds Part 1 - Lone Soldier" my style and sound have evolved immensely, as have I. 

Life has taught me many lessons and has forced me to grow a thicker skin than many other people I know. My dad passed away on 10th November 2017, my girlfriend broke up with me on 16th February 2018, I've been doing music full-time since 27th September 2017 so my income has been almost non-existent, I'd been working in the most emotionally taxing job of my life prior to that from the 20th August 2016 and more...all of this has shaped me into a struggling but strong-willed character that no longer needs to prove himself. 

I have been, and I am. This is Proving Grounds 2.
