TRACK NOTES
This song came out of nowhere at the kitchen table in my house in Nashville. The first three chords somehow suggested a whole narrative about an elusive waitress with a Philosophy of Coffee, and that brought a melody, and hey, I just tried to cling onto the guitar as it hurtled down the road of the story.

CREDITS
This has Bob Hatter on lead electric guitar. Some other studio cats play on it. Oh, and I'm singing it and playing acoustic.

On a highway near Modesto
I stopped to rest my eyes

With a smile upon that face,
I said “I’m headin’ out to Kansas, I’ve got a little place”
