After Ortsnopper self-inflicts a series of apocalypse creating experiments, he hastily drove his underwater laboratory into the ocean. Unaware that the systems weren't ready for submersion, the laboratory shut down during the dive. For some unknown reason, the laboratory was powered up again and Ortsnopper had no alternative but to return to the surface that he destroyed and to face the aftermath. 

After the Resurface begins with the laboratory underwater and takes Ortsnopper on a journy of self realization and acceptance, inevitably leading him to new thoughts and places.
