This is a mash up of about 12 different versions of the song "Sunny". I did it cause I got mildly obsessed with the song a few years ago and sought out as many covers of it as I could find. I knew I couldn't make it an official song (cause the song is so famous) so I started doing the mash up live in shows.  I've been doing a variation of this in my live set for a few years now and it always goes over really well. Figured I'd do a version of it for people to check outside of my shows.

The ‘metallic’ compilation Danzas Electricas is back for a second volume ! 
Curated by Sacha Mambo, it presents only artists from nowadays and takes distance from the edits to push original and weird electronic music of close artists friends from Dresden, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Lyon and Hamburg. Some of them are already relatives of Macadam Mambo : Konsistent, Wosto, Heninspace Eva Geist or Sacha himself and it introduces new acts : Ekstern (Nixxon & Spacelex), Service, Houschyar or Sauerstofff to present a good mixture of Kraut, Punk, Industrial tracks, which never fall into dark.

Optimo Music launches a new digital label; Optimo Music Digital Danceforce, or just plain Digital Danceforce for simplicity. As the turnaround on getting vinyl made was getting ever longer, I wanted an outlet that could be a lot leaner and meaner and get releases out in a far faster amount of time. Some of these may end up being vinyl releases if there is a demand but they will be launched to the world as digital only.

First up is four tracks of sleazy, psyched-out electronics from Belgium’s Strapontin. Self-described as Cold disco, slow techno, queer thoughts, it was instantly falling in love with these that led to the decision to get these out to the world ASAP. Tried and tested. Dancefloor action guaranteed.

Drawing on a spectrum of influences, the Leipzig based musician melts reimagined house with broken beats, blends Eastern acid aromatics with jazz abstractions and achieves a sound that is stunningly unique. The first opus of Kalahari Oyster Cult’s new series comes care of La Batterie, the partnership of Richard Podolor and Sandy Nelson who in 1983 released the hypnotic shimmering grooves of “Let There Be Drums.” Alongside the entrancing original are two remixes. First up is Australia’s very own Max Abysmal with his “Spooky Remix.” Adopting and adapting the raw energy of the ’83 version, Abysmal layers ghostly notes and spectral snares into his mechanical remake. The flip takes on a different slant with “Shogun” taken from the EP of twenty fives years ago. A super slick work of understated funk shot through with bold keys and powerful chants to show another side of the UK pair.  The fiercely talented Benedikt Frey closes, turning his daringly able hand to “Let There Be Drums.” Although he keeps the vocal line, the rest of his rework is dipped in a thick dark threat. Pulsing thumps, menacing notes and danger lurk in this jungle of Frey’s own making.
