The Tunisian electronic music producer Ben Khlifa has joined Nastia's rapidly growing record label NECHTO and is releasing a 4 track EP.

Having started DJing at a very young age, the artist experimented with various genres, eventually realizng that he is most drawn to the raw energy of techno and was early inspired by Berlin and Detroit techno. The producer sees no limits in what one can achieve in the realm of music - music drives itself once it receives an external force.

"I wanted to get out from the ordinary by combining complexity and dancefloor elements," says the artist. "Every track on this EP differs from the others which means there's no perfect structure or organized steps to follow, and overall, the most important thing for me is to share good energy with which anyone can interact with."

Techno demon ​D.Dan​ kicks off 2020 with​ big dystopian energy. R​aw grooves, slippery psychedelia, and slammin’ energy. Following a series of adored releases from D.Dan, Mutant Future EP is a dynamic release that exceeds expectations.

Warped machine paranoia, ​‘Switchblade (Descendant Mix)​’ is an unforgiving opener, while Frantic ​‘Mutant Future’ is a steely trip through D.Dan’s dystopian time tunnel - an absolute weapon! ‘Burnout’ is a high octane, electro punisher for the true techno lovers. On the flip, ‘Escape The Echo Chamber’ is a fun affair - distorted keys to spiral out to - big tip for the wee hours! ‘Take It Easy’ nods to UK sounds and kickin 4/4 beat. Closing track, ‘Sun Over I-5 South’ is stripped back dynamic, techy groover, perfect for the twilight zone spinners with a CPH sound.

PREMIERE: D. Dan - Escape From The Echo Chamber

Lobster Theremin continue a string of euphoric, rave ready techno and trance cuts with a release from Germany’s Rove Ranger that’s hard, fast and effective. Straight off the back of his latest release on ravey UK imprint 10 Pills Mate, and his incredible track ‘Stutenlove’ on Lobster’s PLUR Compilation Volume 1. Rove Ranger is the dancefloor gift that keeps on giving.  

Opener ‘1998’ conjures up earlier release Rave Memories, with loopy, psychedelic, thundering 140+ techno, hurtling us from acid car ride into full flight across a sunset-burnt sky. Hefty percussive techno with an old skool sound, waves or rave drift over pacey heat and compelling kicks. Then we arrive at ‘101010’. 100% warehouse body music on this driving title track. Organic, clinking, clattering shell percussion clops over a dark, endless beat. True Berlin warehouse spirit channelled into the machine. 

The uplifting ‘In My Mind’ is a proper chunky club pumper, blending lush vocals, squelchy bass lines and housier elements. The peak of euphoria and a nostalgic trip back to 90’s fusion dance music. Rounding out the EP on a eurorave tip, ‘Schaltkreis’ launches down a swirling, mesmerising wormhole. Pulling together urgent trance-synth stabs, racing pulse drumwork and crushed production taking us headlong into the abyss.
