This mix is particularly special to me. I do not know where I came across it at, but I listened to it on the start of 2008 January 12 during an overnight bus ride from NYC to Montreal in what was my 1st ever trip outside the USA. I started playing it at midnight and we reached the border during the breakdown of #59, Tatana - Children 2006 (Original Mix) around 06:00 (a.m.) which sounds like a modern version of the 1996 Robert Miles Classic by the same name. The image I'm using here is a collage of some of my Montreal photos from that trip. If the owner of this mix takes issue with my upload here, I can take it down if need be.

A quarter of a century ago I heard what I personally believe to be one of the greatest if not the greatest Trance live sets of all time by the legend himself, Mr Ferry Corsten Live @ Trance Energy in Eindhoven.

This set came at the peak of the classic 1998-2002 Trance era and really serves as a snapshot of the Energy and Power that was present in the work of these legendary DJs back in the day, an era that has now sadly came and went.

The recording of this mix has until now only existed in either a low quality radio rip with the live PA announcer shouting over the top, or via the KFC one NYE 2000 low fidelity mp3 recording, therefore I felt it was time to give this legendary set a bit of love.

All of the tracks where sourced legally and paid for, and are of lossless quality, and have been mixed by myself as close as I could get within my own ability to Ferrys work on the original live recording. I have matched the BPM exactly to that of the original set (147.3) which is warpspeed compared to todays standards but remains 100% authentic to the original. 

Hopefully this will serve as a nostalgic trip down memory lane for Classic Trance lovers, and also as an introduction for the newer generation of one of the most amazing livesets from back in the day.

Ferry Corsten - Live @ Trance Energy Eindhoven 29-4-2000, 25TH Anniversary Tribute Rework

On June 23rd, 2000, Tiësto performed his legendary "Magik Six: Live In Amsterdam" set during a Wildlife event at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam, Netherlands. To commemorate its 25th anniversary, I decided to re-record and slightly rework this mix. Dedicated to everyone who attended and performed at the original event, and to those who worked hard to make the mix compilation album a reality. Enjoy!
