Shanghai resident Conrank has more than proved his mettle when it comes to heavy club tracks. In the past, on tracks like "Sinking In" (which featured Bass Sekolah) and "Two Step" (with Subp Yao) he delved into the worlds of grime and UK bass, while "Seattle" and "Loco" saw him draw on trappier influences, all of which qualified as weapons-grade bangers. His latest track "Tongues", featured on the massive 12-track EP Ma Fan out today on Saturate Records, falls into the latter category. But this isn't your typical instrumental trap. Instead, Conrank's brought in more eastern influences to form the backbone of this one, creating an atmospheric build that climaxes with a cataclysmic bass drop.
