Aiokai has visited many different colours of the drum & bass palette, and this time he does so by producing a dark and brutal neuro tune, with hints of rollers. Darklands (Annihilation) lives in a grizzly and grainy dimension created thanks to dirty, yet clean noises. Aiokai’s drum programming goes to the next level in this new concoction of his, fitting it all together with screechy and hellish basslines, damnable foghorns, halftime drums and even ragga vocals. It all goes back to the artist´s old school roots, together with contemporary sound design. This is by far, one of Aiokai´s most interesting and mature fabrications. Osprey's first solo release on our imprint is Perspectives, a grimy & glittery track with some hefty weight behind it. This is another one of those examples where we've held a track for an egregiously long time.

About 5 months ago my brother and I were on a long drive and the original “Start again” by Kidnap came on and we started singing it together, I remember when the song ended thinking to myself that Id like to try and remix the song into a drum and bass track. I wanted to remix this song because this was a core memory of something my brother and I have always done together, growing up there has been tones of songs that my parents have shown us over the years that have lead to lyric engraving for my brother and I to sing together but for this one it was something more then just another song. I don’t know why specifically, maybe because of how sunny it was that day or because of where we were going or maybe just because we were both so happy during that moment and nothing else mattered. I beyond stoked to finally have this one out for you to listen to and eventually sing along with me and my brother.
