Grasshopper Records Series’ next artist is BRAINIAC from Bristol who will present us his new EP.

At the beginning of the millennium he started DJing and visiting Electronic Music events regularly, which influenced him to write his own music few years later.

Soon his releases appeared on the best reputed labels in the genre which took the industry by the surprise with his crystalline production and powerful sound. Through his releases he gained considerable reputation which led him to perform at numerous high profile events all around the globe.

His sound combines futuristic rhythms and high-tech sounds with a psychedelic twist while keeping the essence of melody and atmosphere alive. And wherever he performs, it’s magic on the dancefloor.

Currently he is releasing his new EP “JapanologyV2” which will come out on Grasshopper Records. It contains 3 mind blasting tracks featuring Mirok, Cylon and Spectra Sonics and will be available for download in all main digital stores on February 12th.

Having started in 1994 as a producer and DJ, Ralph founded the project „Rastaliens“ together with his friend Jay. In 2003 they released the album „Xplore The Wild Side“ on BooM! Records. At the same time he moved to Switzerland with his wife and decided to start his own project called Braincell. His first album „Universal Language“ was released in 2005, which was followed by an impressive string of releases on various compilations and major labels. Two years after his debut, his second album „Transformation of Reality“ came out. The last Rastaliens album, „Back on Earth“, was released in 2007. One year afterwards, Braincell’s third album „Frequency Evolution“ was released on Glowing Flame Records and in 2010 his fourth album „Intelligent Being“ came out on Free Spirit Records. These cd’s were followed by several releases on various compilations. Since 2007 Ralph has also been producing tracks by the project name Solar Spectrum, which represents the more progressive side of his creativity. Solar Spectrum’s debut album was released in 2009 and his second album (R)Evolution of Consciousness was released two years afterwards. The Reunion EP was released on BooM! Records in 2013 together with his 3rd album „Source Energy Creations“ (re-released on Ovnimoon Rec.) and 4th album „Droplets from the matrix“ (Ovnimoon Rec.) 2013 it was time for an Ambient/Chill/Downbeat project which was realized under the name „Unknown Reality“. Phase is Giacomo Martoccia, born in Florence in the beginning of the 80s. He studies music since early age and when 17 he starts to be interested in techno and electronic music, but after a few years his interest is catched by psytrance music and the growing Italian psychedeic scene. In 2007 he starts the project “DUST IN FACE” with Andre Lunghi (aka DUST) and his solo project “PHASE”. He joined the Looney Moon Records in 2007 and from 2009 release with them most of his work includinding several compilation, an EP “Amplitude” in 2011 and the LP “Feng” in 2015.
