This part of the liveset was so requested that I made it into a track, now available exclusively on vinyl and Bandcamp because of it’s similarity to a certain well known pop song. Busted

This track was originally released in 2005 on the Chip Jockey Live Album series from Expressillon. There were 2 versions as i had done a vinyl edit which was shorter and much more useful to DJ with. Recently I was searching high and low for the vinyl edit everywhere as I wanted to include it in my digital DJ sets and finally it was relocated on Reno's old hard drive with the help of 69DB.

A celebration of a lifelong human connection.
A long awaited collaboration between Ixi and Ness formerly of the Horsedrawn Hardcore.  Ness plays Fiddle.
Their collaborations previously consisted of fireside jams or inner city busking - the collaboration then between fiddle and whistle.
In 1997 they first attempted to sample the violin into the Spiral Akal 1100 - at the Near Year party at Tores Vedras in Portugal. The sample still exists but the idea stayed dormant, probably due to the technology of the time being insufficiently advanced to get the fiddle in time. 

The name is taken from a fusion of our two names but also has a double meaning.
The suffix "ness" in English is used to denote a quality or state of being.
In this case the quality or state of being Ix, which is something I have to deal with on a daily basis. It could also be used to describe my unique and recognizable sound which is here paired perfectly with the earthy sounds of Ness’s violin.

Before meeting Spiral Tribe in 1991, Ixindamix lived on the road with a horse and cart and moved across the British countryside with the horse-drawn travellers. Whenever she found a good site for a party she’d give the Spirals a call and the sound system would be magically spirited in.

Ixindamix began her musical career in 1992 after leaving the horse-drawn and joining the Spiral’s convoy of matt black trucks. Collecting records with irrepressible energy, she quickly became one of the sound system’s central performers. With her DJ sets filling floors week after week, she began honing her synthesizer skills in the sound system’s mobile studio. The resulting livesets rapidly became popular in countries all over Europe, and she became well known for her tantalizing analog improvisation and twinkling frequency mischief.

Co-founding the Audiotrix record label in 2000, she has steered it to a position of respect and helped break a stream of new artists on the label. Adding an online digital and vinyl shop to Audiotrix in the last two years, she is a pivotal figure in the European scene.

Today, Ixindamix plays at international events every weekend while working in the studio throughout the week. Injecting charisma and sparkling personality into every set, her ability to whip a dancefloor into sheer euphoria has made her highly sought after across the continent.
